I just better understood the mountain concussion Abraham Lincoln, that’s funny. You look happy. Your voice always shows your inner joy and I’m just amazed that you back out on trail only being a short time off the Appalachian Trail. I love your vlogs & your style of editing and summation. ❤😊
Hi Jess Having been an AT section hiker, I did a 12 mile section on the LT that your going in to. Being use to 14-18 mile days, assumed that this 12 mile section would be easily done in a day. A day and half later…… Two things hiking there in the fall. Plan on getting wet hiking through the spruce trees along the trail. The other wonderful thing is when the leaves fall off the trees covering the trail it’s easy to lose the trail, there slick when wet and you never know what there covering on the trail. However, there are no mosquitoes, black flies! Old School
Sass, you look so happy out there! Fall is some of the best times to hike. Unless I'm thru hiking somewhere my backpacking season is September to April. I hate the crowds, bugs and leaves blocking views and wildlife. You're hiking strong! Enjoy the trail and keep heading north. geek

I love your calm solitude this time out!
To paraphrase Michael Corleone "Just when I thought I was out, you pull me back in!" I'm loving your Long Trail vlog!

Stay warm. Safe travels.
As you probably know now, it’s much easier to get a hitch into Waitsfield than it is to get one out of town and back up that mountain.
Abraham Lincoln. I get the confusion.
