Revolutionary War. Ethan Allen. The store was named after him😂😂. Be safe and stay warm. Good luck with the move in and new job.

I am in awe of your ability to climb up n down those rocks….if I could turn back the clock ……you are very smart for taking it slower to minimize chance of injury

Hi Sass, wow! you had some crazy climbs today. Loved the pic of your shadow on the rocks on Camels Hump. Be safe and happy hiking.

That was the most demoralizing section of my entire LT thruhike! I fell more on that descent from Camel's Hump than I did on the rest of the hike combined. I seem to recall taking my only zero the day after 😂 The northern section is no joke - listen to your body and don't worry about trying to make big miles. Enjoy the gorgeous views and your time in the Green Mountains! Siesta LT '19

Your tough decent choice down the aluminum ladder looked challenging let alone how did you even get to traverse yourself to the ladder. I enjoy you verbal critiquing your efforts for a day because it does help me have some idea of what might need to be processed while you’re doing a long through hike.❤😊

Is there a Burnt Rock Mountain just before Camels hump Mtn? I hiked there when I was 14 and 10 years old, respectfully, years ago. Thanks for sharing!🙂🙏

I was surprised to see the number of hikers on Camel as on trail you seem pretty solitary. Definitely wise taking it slow & steady as you are by yourself.

I'm a triple crown thru-hiker (CDT in 4 sections) and I've also done several state trails including the AZ, CO, FL trails, but I must admit, the Long trail was about the toughest trail I've ever hiked. I was 72 at the time so that didn't help either. It is sure pretty in the Fall though and well worth the hike.

Hey Jess- If you like the views in Vermont, come hike the Adirondacks in upstate NY! Gorgeous!

Nice work! Everyone is low energy and slow through there. I’m always in a hurry to hitch to Waterbury after so I end up pushing too hard/far. But Prohibitions Pig BBQ and Heady Toppers are worth it ❤

For someone with a fear if heights, parts of that trail look scary! Not sure if I could do that. But you're a pro, and I'll follow you till the end.

Ethan Allen was one of the Green Mountain Boys during the Revolutionary War.
Sass, don't get down on yourself for making mistakes or failing to meet your goal, you did something even more skillful, YOU ADAPTED. Think back on how many times you had to do that on the A.T.
Miles can be made up when the terrain will allow but safety is not something to compromise. You did good! Hiking strong girl!

You were spoiled by the toothy granite rocks in the White Mountains. Green Mountain rocks are crumbly and slicks. Watch your feet.

Who exactly is responsible for dragging a 20-foot aluminum ladder into the middle of nowhere?!
