That will do. An objective observer notes that this version is greatly improved over the original film's scene, noting that it flows better and that the genuine MC music improves the mood.
@tootcb Good to know. Jer doesn't agree, naturally. :D Listen, before I enlist to the army next year, I'll release the final dimension, er, I mean the final version (correcting errors and such) of HL3, and I might need you. Keep in touch. Later...
The film builds up to a weak climax, no matter how you look at it. The bad guy captures a loved one, they show up in yet another abandoned factory, and they have a fistfight with swords before going into a rather underwhelming Quickening. I hate this movie.
All of the Highlander films have simplistic stories and weak climaxes. But thats part of their charm. Theyre fun campy films. The first one tried to take itself serious and became a cult hit for its whacky story. But after that, I think the film recognized what they are, and so in some ways, the sequels were intended to be campy, especially H2 and H4 and H5. H3 was more of an attempt to duplicate the 1st. The only problem I have with this series is that it was constantly altering the story and mythology. * In H2 its shown that immortals come from a distant advanced civilization and are reborn in this world to kill each other till only one remains as punishment. The sole survivor gets a reward. Ok, fine. So Katana sends the Krugan as well, so that Connor isnt the survivor. Connor succeeds gets the prize- he can grow old and have children, something immortals couldnt have. And he has vast knowledge of everything. * Now in H3 none of this is picked up on other than he can grow old. But Kane is revealed to be a remaining immortal and so the game is repeated, with Connor again winning and receiving the prize. * According to the TV series, which really messes up the continuity, the game never ended at all. * In H4 Connor finally is beheaded and Duncan receives the prize...i think. * But in H2 Connor is alive and defeats Katana and the prize allows him to either grow old on Earth or to go back to an advanced civilization. * In H5, to retcon the series to explain why immortals can co-exist, it introduces the source. The immortal who reaches it with good intention is given the prize, to grow old and have children. See how bad they fcked with the continuity? * And the cartoon series has yet again many immortals, but they all take an oath to stop playing the game. But one immortal refuses and seeks world control.
I agree not the best of the series but did redeem the series mainly because they made no reference to Highlander two which was an absolutely piece of dog shit
Best part of the movie. The "He's Dr. Feelgood!" song make it epic.
The music track in the final fight between Connor and Kane is awesome.
There can be only one! ♥
Man, I miss this version of the final fight...
What are the others? I only know this one

The best scene in Highlander 3.
Glad to know it meets your approval.
Typo… Mr. Feelgood
So that I'll be able to sit through it every once in a while. Isn't that what Jer is doing with The Source?
Well, it's more like I concede rather than pushing you further on something that you clearly do not want to do.
I miss this version of the scene....oh, well.
I thought this was in the original Theatrical Version. What happened to the footage and why was the music changed?

I want to download this song!
@IamConnorMacLeod Yes it is, and I love it!
As do I.
@tootcb :-)
Thats why God invented UA-cam, for your pleasure.
Still, if you listen carefully, the lyric "He's Dr. Frankenstein" was kept it. I think.
More or less.
At least I hope you'll like the end result.
But still, its the final fight. People want to see the fight, not listen to the song. Otherwise, to what has the film build up to?
Do you really think it can be pushed further? Don't you think it will becoming TOO noisy, and get audiences out of the scene?
If you hate it, why bother editing it?

Who wants to be in THAT scene, anyway? The sword fight is ludicrous; instead of swashbuckling, they're acting like pro-wrestlers.
Read the 1409 medieval combat manuscript Il Fior di Battaglia and then reconsider what you just said...
the movie's not terrible but it's definitely not great. it's pretty subpar
