I decided to use my game knowledge to try and speedrun/produce a gameplay series on a freshly wiped server. I am playing fully solo in a 2 clan member limit world and have one of the best starts of all time!
I unflag pvp off the rip to gank 2 players at alpha wolf securing my wolf form and enough mats to build a base and then kill a skull solo player on the way to finding a base. I joined a few hours after wipe but follow my journey!
I am confident chaotic rulesets like double sun damage, monthly wipes, siege always available with longer time required to spawn siege golems will be a healthy way to keep the game fresh. in smaller, faster, more bite sized battle royale style/seasonal matches you can have all the fun, all the time! - Ігри

Why are the 2 people at 9:30 just killing the NPC with an other player lurking around? Most people that play V Rising have have low IQ? Is he invisible to them or are they bots? I don't get it.
@@oyvgi Because they saw he had tutorial pvp protection on and they probably didn't expect he would turn pvp prot off to gank them 1v2 :D
Kind of refreshing watching someone actually good at the game. Been seeing a bunch of people posting videos gloating that they can raid a GL 30 solo player in a 4 man and still fail from a counter. Really hope people like you get more popular

@@eyeofhorus1301 It is basically the combination of a bunch of games that already exist. The flow of the combat is very much battlerite, same with the skills. Boss progression from Valheim. Albion style world, weapons, and resource management. With a fairly standard but workable survival system

@@blackyettie Their point was that you would walk into V and still have some idea what you are doing even without practicing V. Dont think they were saying its a bad thing the game borrows a bunch of different systems from different games.(thats pretty standard practice)
@@redhammer92 I'm fully aware of that I was supporting them not making a remark towards their thoughts, I was backing them up with the information that pretty much all of the greats had to start somewhere and most of them borrowed from the previous greats 🤷🏻♂️

Hell yeah I've been waiting for this one.
a huge tip for speed running is to get a map of all the bosses and check their proximities. then you can do about three or 4 bosses in each run from base. managed to do about 4 or 5 bosses in our start with my friend and myself. granted there were 2 of us but I think as a solo it still helps to see the early bosses and where they are so that you come back to base with a whole lot more progress. also making an effort to smash all the boxes and things in certain camps is a very easy way to get resources that are annoying to get from early to mid game for instance whetstone drops like crazy in the early camps so breaking the boxes can get you about 9 to 11 whetstone per run

fun fact : Where you did your starter base, is where my base is, you have a large area down the cliff that you can close easily, and the cliff is a very good starter location imo

Competition is fierce for sure. I highly recommend a duel server to get your bearings and remember that escaping a fight is always a win 🦇
@@SoBadStrange why do so many people forget that running away is a valid strategy? I'm honestly curious. I just got into the game not long ago (still figuring out how to get iron and the basic progression after copper) but playing solo PvE you always have to run going into strongholds. Positioning and dodging damage is almost more important than sustaining damage in many regards imo. But that might just be because I'm bad

It takes a little at the start to like the game. I really didn’t like the very beginning, especially because I was playing solo. Joined my friends the next day and had a blast once I figured out the basic mechanics

Was this server configuration to loot chests of other players disabled? because i am very confident players could have entered your castle by jumping with the wolf from your stairs to your high ground
Hi there, i have question, although it might be stupid: How is it that the other guys he/you killed at the Alpha weren't pvp protected when turning off protection /pvp ?
Pvp protection only lasts 30min on many servers. Likely they had built a base somewhere nearby. My game knowledge, at the moment, gives me a large advantage but I’m trying to share the wealth!
Honestly i took notes throughout your video, to have a better start on fresh servers, cuz im new, just enough so i dont run around like headless chicken, and be little more efficient with time xD. Great video tho!

I tried to play yesterday, but i couldn't find anywhere to place my heart (PVE/OFFICAL Server) which was kind of annoying.
So, PvP it is then! Thanks for the tips.
What to you mean "Freshly Wiped?"
A wipe means the map and all characters on a server is reset to a brand new world. Fresh just means recently :)
To speed up the chest areas, you can always use the loot all button when your inventory is full, just split the stacks of what you want and then go ham, don't need organizing if you have brute force!

Honestly this is like the one game where knowledge of camps is prbly better than pvp. Not that pvp isnt useful, but if you know what drops where you can speed run the whole game to end game content in like 4 hours if you dont even encounter any pvp fights.
Theres one strat where you go to log camp and get woodcutter axes which then lets you farm copper. Kill both bosses at copper mine and logging can pick up frost archer while getting alpha wolf she usually is nearby sometimes if your lucky.
You can literally get to iron in 30 minutes to an 1 hour easy doing this. There are other special item drops like this through the game, but the woodcutter axes are the most important in my opinion. Pretty much just vaults you into mid game areas almost immediately.
Yeah it’s so hard to stop myself I just love brawling it’ll always feel more like battle rite to me seeing what everyone is made of.

Random question.. is there a way to tell how old a server is? you said the server you started on was new but how could you tell?
Server descriptions are a good indicator, this one wipes every 18th. When the sun comes up in game you can see which day it is on, the closer to 1 the fresher it is.
Please upload more often... Just upload ur Speedrunning attempt daily or ur journey from beginning to end game daily.

I am new to the game and was really frustrated because it took me a long time to progress and everbody had good stuff when i were still at copper. But you motivated me to start again. You got a sub from me.

Take it slow, play some fresh starts, and make small progression plays you hero.
Is there any reason why you use the axes for all enemies instead of switching weapons according to them? Thought I'd watch for a few minutes and get some pointers, ended up leaving my game and watching the whole video.
Ah this is a pro tip I hadn’t considered! I love learning things after 150h of gameplay haha. I will try and work on doing this more often but most of the time I use whatever weapon has the highest gearscore.

@@Smoothaltheleet Each weapon has a certain affinity towards certain types of opponents. Like the spear is good for creatures and the hammer for golems etc.
You beautifully illustrated how double-edged PvP protection is :D Granted, it's still better than PvP flags - you can only do it once. But it's ridiculously unfair to the poor guys you stalk - they can literally do nothing other than logout and play another time. Sandbox games and asymmetric restrictions don't go very well together - you can always abuse them to get unfair advantage. Of course, it's all lessons we've learned from all those guys trying to "fix" Ultima Online :D
Double-edged sword indeed! Especially after I kept running into skull lvl players lol. The duo could have kept their health up more, reset the fight if they were too low, or chose not to fight near me but most people don’t realize you can turn pvp protection off yet 🥳

@@FliipSpot The two guys couldn't attack Strange, because after joining a world, noöne can attack you for half an hour. But he could still attack them by disabling PvP protection.

Thinking about buying the game and leter setting up a pvp duo server. As I do not want to pvp nonstop, what amount of players would you see as healthy? Thinking about 10 to 20 players max on a single / duo server ...
The pvp tends to slow down a day or so into wipes as players are spread out everywhere farming different things and working on their castles.
10 for a solo would be no pvp unless all 10 start at the same time or actively play through to the end. Some join and leave as well periodically in the life cycle of the server. I hope this was helpful as I don’t actually know what a good amount would be I’m still theorycrafting too!

Wouldn't it be great if the game detects all your storage boxes inside your base, and you could use the resources inside them at all crafting stations? I always get frustraded with inventory management in these games...
Actually no, because then it’ll be automatically using your resources to create one thing, where some resources have more than one use it could get pretty annoying haha
you need to wall up next to the main gate, people can jump from the horse and get into your base

You gotta remember people can jump into your base with their horse or toad form, need walls around the entire base. I've wiped clans clean just because people don't know how to build their entrances yet.
Toad form seemed useless until I jumped into someone's base from a cliff. You can cheese the shit out of even decently set up bases with it. Those cliff areas that are obviously cut out for bases almost seem like a double edged sword at this point
19:13 havent watched the full vid yet so im not sure if you wall off your base properly later but this setup isnt actually secure because its possible to jump inside bases like that by dismounting from a horse

Many servers have full loot, the setting is called Merciless. Others have only drop inventory on death ☠️!

The PvP looks so satisfying but every server only has 3-5 people online during the times I'm able to play. It's sad this game didn't even last a year before dying off.
