@Noah Waterman Yeah, that other guy is using the guitars that the band used, starting with Paul's Epi. But I don't see him bending the neck back to get that F sound.
I've jammed this song for decades & never bothered to learn it. We just cranked it up & wailed it out real heavy. It's nice to see these licks. I'm gonna try them out. Thanks.
Thank you for showing how to hit that f note before the e chord. I had to go through a bunch of other youtubers to find you. I couldnt tell if if it was from hitting the strings hard, a tremlo bar, or even bending the strings. Thank you again
@2:08 "he's holding an e major 7..." ack... thank God it's a dominant not a maj7! maj7 is what the Beatles called a "sissy chord". this isn't a sissy song! lol but minor foible there and a great lesson thank you!
I first heard the Motley Crue version. Rockin' cover. When I first learned this song, it took forever to figure out the opening chords. They weren't your standard bar chords.
So far the first one that really teach Helter Skelter the way the Beatles recorded it

This is the most brilliant and to me "Wildist" beatles song. Its so different from that time. Man i wish i was born in the 60's

Oh my god I've been bending the neck this whole time, and I thought I was doing it wrong.
It's a kick butt song, thanks. I used to beat the shit out of the low E to make it go a bit sharp.
