I have a tip I learned to apply adhesive backed paper (I learned it for vinyl) by only revealing a slim strip across the page, apply that down evenly. Then slowly peel away the backer paper while using some sort of squeegee tool to adhere it to your cardstock (or whatever you're applying it to). That way you can work out bubbles or wrinkles as you go, and it lays down more evenly than if you try while you have the whole sticky back exposed. I've found this very helpful. I hope it helps someone else out too. LOL 🙂

I absolutely love your responses to the Tri blend brush marker. I have the Tri blend brush set and I reach for them all the time. They make my coloring look like I’m a pro. I’m in love with them. I was hoping one day you would find them. That kit is awesome! You always make beautiful cards. ❤

With the tri blends, put down your lightest color, then add darkest color around outline and where ou want shadows, add to those areas coming ou some the mid one then use lightest over I all to blends it out.
The cards from that set were great Cathy....loved them
I'm not being nasty or sarcastic when I say that I am so proud of you that you came out of your light gray and light pink comfort zone with alcohol inks, and used bright pink alcohol ink colors and enjoyed it immensely. I love these cards and colors. They are fantastic. Love watching you craft.

Beautiful cards Kathy. The coloring came out good. You can learn more about triblends watching crafters companion (color me happy). These markers are they're brand and work great though I need to really really practice my coloring.

Glad to see you using the tri blends. I have several kind of alcohol markers and I love having options and sometimes not having to think about which colors to grab that will get me a nice blend. Love the kit and your cards. All so cute!
Fun video. Your friend, Kristina Werner, can teach you how to highlight with a white pen. Kelly Latevola Taylor uses white highlights too. I really want that love die, but it is on reserve right now unless I buy the kit. Thanks for sharing your sweet cards.

Love the cards. On the love you card, I would have layered the patterned paper over the area of glitter paper where the love was cut out. It doesn't show but you use what is essentially waste paper and keep your other glitter paper for another project

The downside of this is that I ended up buying the this rather than the wild about you stamp set, which I also love. I need to win the lottery so I can buy all the supplies I want.
Catching up on some of your videos so you may already know this, but when using a guillotine cutter you should be placing your paper at the bottom of the cutter instead of the top. It really makes a big difference.

Love all the cards, can't decide which is my favourite! Loved seeing you do the envelope too. You will have to get some white envelopes and make matching envelopes for your cards. Although you can always stamp coloured envelopes with Versamark and get a tone on tone envelope if you want to use a coloured one :) x

i have the tri blends and they are fantastic. i dont do a whole lot of colouring so i have about 2o tri bends so i actually have 60 different shades so its plenty for all my needs without breaking the bank. love your channel cathy xxx

I ordered a Simon Kit to Australia - the poppy one (Sept/Oct?). It costs more (money conversion etc), and takes a while to get here but I love it.
I really love all of these this month!!! I think the berries is my fav & love the add of the gold strip. Oh and thanks for the info on the TH paper…needing to adhere to cardstock before die cutting..boy have I been frustrated with it not working. Can I ask a silly ? Do the alcohol markers have a smell, like when you use and after on the card?
I did learn the triblends are not refillable.
You are not able to refill the tri blend markers. That’s the only thing wrong with them. But, I love the convenience when going to class. I have them all.
Cathy, I guess you have to tighten the screw of your small guillotine trimmer, the handle seems to be way to loose, so the blades are too far away from each other. Your card ideas are so cute, as a purple lover I really love them 💜

The reason the grey shadow colouring didn’t look good is that it was too light a grey. Also shadows are typically done in a deeper shade of the same colour or you can add the colour’s compliment, in this case a deep green. So glad you went over it with the darker red!
