- Lebanon has one of the most spectacular Hillclimb Championships in the World and Michael Zgheib has been for years one of the reasons why. Here you can watch him with his lastest Monster, this beautiful BMW E36 attacking Wadi Chahrour Hill Climb last year.
This E36 unit is powered by a S54B32 engine unit producing a screaming 496Hp/9.000Rpm transmitted to the rear Wheels through a Samsonas Gearbox. Weighing little over 1000Kg and driven right one th edge, much like the previous machines piloted by Mr. Zgheib, it makes for some incredible footage on the narrow streets that mark this event.

More of the motorsport used to be like that, but today, you can only see that on hillclimbs.
Man, this must be one of the most challenging Hillclimb stages I've ever seen. A real test of mental fortitude. One small mistake or lapse in concentration and you're getting intimate with a brick wall.
Yeah... And those drivers are also on another (crazy) level... :O

this dude is nuts, god damn, so narrow road and sharp edges from stairs corner of houses fences whatever and this nutty just floors it like there is no tomorrow, so million things could go wrong any given time. awesome performance for him it was enjoyment to see but the level of danger for our entertainment, this is mental :D

Love how the car still has a traditional H-pattern gear box and hasn't been converted to full sequential.
Probably still on an OEM trans of a sort, the ZF in the e36 can take some real power, the stock shifter setup is just a bit fuckey

@@samteks997 Samsonas is known for their sequentials but this is propably a "dog box kit" for the original gearbox.

I usually comment on the car but the Driver is so clinical and precise its scary. The car is a beast but the Driver is the monster in this case.
Lebenese hillclimb drivers are really something else and Michael Zgheib shows why,along with his beautiful BMW screamer.Spectacular driving and great camera shots,outside and onboard,make for quite an experience.Thank you for this treat.

This kind of driving is the most fun to watch imo (why I love rally). Track racing is usually about maintaining grip at all times, which can be a bit boring. Drifting is sliding around just for the sake of sliding around. This is the perfect balance.
It's like watching San Remo really stage Group B style.
Mazen Zgheib from 🇱🇧 Lebanon, he tuned this car on a budget. H-pattern gearbox, engine revs to 8700, a joy to watch.
Roger Feghali is another madman from Lebanon, I would love to see him and his evo in the channel.

This is a great combo with the s54 drivetrain in the e36 chassis. I've driven and built a few of 'em. How can you really go wrong with the ITB's and the internal work to rev it out?!?! Those gutted/ paint matched headlights look awesome. Great alternative to a headlight duct if the lights aren't needed. VAC Motorsport built engine I'm guessing?? Is there a build thread on this thing? I'd be really interested in checking it out. Great clip, thank you for posting!!!
