Good information for me to know.. I just started building computers as a hobby and started to try out gaming for the first time. All of the hardware that is considered old by today's standards is all new to me lol. Same with the old games so a GPU like this is right up my alley. Nvidia's greatest mistake: The GTX 1000 series card. 1080TI FE owner here since launch, just recently "upgraded" to an RX 6750 XT. I miss blue team already.
Why not just get the rx 6800 xt it isn't that much expensive compared to a rx 6750 xt? Heck even the rx 6950 xt is still cheaper than the RX 7900 Series. The rx 6950 xt outpaced the rx 7900 GRE by not much around 7-10% and about 30% more cheaper.
Got 960 4gb strix version, for 30 euros at local market, for a budget pc i built is not bad

picked one up for 20 bucks on ebay without a heat sync.
