Great story and Miranda actor was really very good. If children aren't raised with love and care, they get screwed up. I wonder why Miranda wasn't adopted as baby and why she stayed 5 years in temporary foster homes before she was adopted with 5 years of age.
Never ever let the strangers move into your house as it takes years to really get to know them. Many strangers are not what they seem to be. Nowadays, we have to be EXTRA careful!!!
Here in the UK we have a huge housing crisis and many are forced into shared accommodation as an alternative to sleeping rough or in slum housing provided by slum landlords. For many renters, this means moving into a stranger's home. Meaning: it's not just about a stranger moving into your home that is potentially dangerous, but moving into a home where the landlord/landlady is potentially dangerous. Works both ways.
Adoption records and background checks should always be verified by authorities due to the dangers involved. These cases usually involve very serious breakdowns in family units, and separations are mandatory in these circumstances. Some information should be flagged and kept sealed due to the high-risk offenders and the potential risk to vulnerable family members. Suspect the father in this case was an offender and that's why his name wasn't on the birth certificate. Always check and verify guests well ahead, including Relestate, and rental property. Great story, thanks for uploading.
My aunt was renting rooms to total strangers, in central London, for about 45 years! Never, ever had a mean person under her roof. She never even locked her own bedroom whilst all seven bedrooms were occupied by men. She was single. But, I'm sure she was just very lucky. My sister had a similar business, plus a shop in her house in an extremely secluded area and also nothing bad had ever happened; just the opposite, as she's met lots of very kind people, lots of very famous people too. Some have become her friends. It's all written up in the stars for us, most probably.

To anyone who is thinking about setting up an air bnb or room rentals: For god sake, keep your own door locked, your laptop/PC password protected and don't leave house keys in the kitchen cabinet! Allowing a stranger inside your home doesn't necessarily poses a risk. Rather, the danger involves not setting boundaries, becoming close to a complete stranger, eating with them, chit-chatting with them excessively, including them in your circle of close friends, and granting them free access to areas of the house that should be locked. It's not enough to give human being rules. You need to take action as regards your rules.

Opening my mail and my parcels, criticising what I ate, my clothes, how often I showered (even if it was at teh gym) etc. No privacy....
omg yes I've shared a room with a psychotic woman/landlord before too and one day she just stopped talking to me, very standoffish..asked me to move out abruptly and sent me a text in the middle of the night saying if my stuff wasn't out by the morning she would start throwing it out into her farm!
