The amazing part about the harmonies is Addie was the only one to hear all 3 vocals at the same time. The other two just naturally harmonized without hearing each other. All 3 are in different parts of the world.

As you worked out, Halocene is Addie (the singer), Brad (guitarist) and Joe (drummer). They were then joined by Violet and Lauren for the added vocals. The same group (Halocene plus Lauren and Violet) also covered Toxicity (as promised) and Aerials. They also added Audra from First to Eleven to cover Bohemian Rhapsody.
All of these have been produced without physically meeting up. Violet being in Brazil, Lauren in Toronto and Halocene in Phoenix as you found. So Brad had to mix the audio and video after being sent it by the other two.
Halocene have some 300+ covers on their channel now a lot of which are really good, but they also have over 20 originals that are worth listening to, especially their latest (Devil Inside Me). The video for that would put some label signed bands to shame with the quality they produced.
Bohemian Rhapsody and Somebody To Love should rock Ken's socks off.
I just wanted to add to your description that Brad also plays bass and does backing vocals/screams. Really awesome! They are a super talented group of individuals. They never fail to impress me with their content. They try to upload content weekly when possible (which is impressive considering Brad produces the music himself, as you mentioned) and they stream on Twitch 3 days a week (typically for 3-4 hours per stream). And on top of everything, they are all parents of young children (Addie and Brad have a 1-year-old and Joe has a newborn)!
@@gavinlevesque5672 I knew those musical facts but not that, on top of everything, they were all young parents! Wooow that's impressive, a real feat actually! I agree that Devil Inside Me is their best original to date and, for me, definitely puts them as "professional band", not "just" UA-cam covers anymore

This is the cover I fell in love with Halocene, Violet, and Lauren. I have been obsessing over all the covers they have been putting out this past year. Check out Lauren's band Red Hand Denial.
I think you might enjoy looking into Lauren Babic's work in general - she has amazing clean vocals as well - almost a "Perfect Pop Star" quality of vocal work.

I'm not sure you'll find many better female rock vocalists on youtube than Violet, Addie and Lauren. They all have unique and beautiful voices.
This trio has done some amazing covers. Halocene is an amazing band, they also stream live shows on Twitch 3 days a week. Lauren and Violet are amazing as well. So many covers you should cover that they have done. They aren't in the same room, in fact not even the same country. Lauren is from Canada, Halocene from Arizona, and Violet is from Brazil.
Canada is to female screamers/growlers what Netherlands is to symphonic metal valkyries.
So glad I stumbled across Halocene one sleepless night. I believe in love at first sight.

Fantastic review. I stumbled upon them myself a while back and have been captivated by some of their collabs. The one that really blew me away showing Addy's voice, IMO, is "Going Under." But Toxicity with the three you found here is really good as well. Another collab I would highly recommend is one where Addy joins Sershen and Zaritskaya, a Polish band, to sing "I Was Made for Loving You" by KISS.
All their videos are amazing but there is a reason why THIS is their most watched one.

I really like that you review so many rock/metal songs and covers. It's refreshing when a lot of people review pop songs, and makes me personally happy as a rock music fan. The band and all three women did a great job on this cover.
Please check out "Leprous". "Below", "The sky is red" or "Slave" are all good choices. Amazing band, technical, tight and some of the best male vocals out there.

This trio of singers have done a few covers together and they are all impressive. Their varied vocal ranges compliment each other nicely! Violet and Lauren have their own channels and also do covers that are very much worth a listen. And of course Halocene themselves are a group of hard-working individuals. Being an independent band, Brad (shout out to him!) plays guitar, bass, backing vocals/screams and he's the production genius behind their musical works. This was a great reaction video, thanks!

They had been planning to get back out on tour this year, but...
Hopefully it'll still happen next year once things settle down. Thankfully, things have exploded somewhat on UA-cam and Twitch for them this year though. They stream singing live 3 times a week and are now regularly getting 1000+ live viewers.

Just the blonde girl is Halocene...the two brunettes are Violet Orlandi and Lauren Babic they have their own bands...Well Violet does a lot of solo stuff with featured artists, I've been watching her channel since she started alone in her room as a teen, she has really grown, But they are all excellent!!!

I feel I need to mention for anyone who may not know that the harmonies in this song weren't added for the cover, SOAD'S vocal harmonies are the best in metal 🙃
That said, phenomenal cover 🤟 I'd highly encourage checking out Vicky Psarakis' cover of Only for the Weak by In Flames :) I've basically had it on repeat for a while now

As a massive fan of Lauren's music(she's lead vocals in two bands, does epic covers and she's Canadian) I cannot recommend her enough.

Seriously, really well done. I'm not a big fan of this genre, but I've learned to appreciate the skill that goes into this music. The drums and guitar are wicked hard to get that tight. And to know they each recorded their parts separately is simply amazing. The trio was alternately heavenly and scary. Well done.
