Great episode!! THANK YOU for letting me be part of this episode. It was a lot of fun and allowed me to share the important message of Responsible Stewardship.
I’ve received lots of positive comments about the responsible stewardship piece. I’m honored to have had you be a part of this episode. Such a great message to spread & put on the minds of our community. Fist bumps!! Miyagi
Guys....this was exceptional. Aside from your excellent commentary, that Stewardship piece was incredibly insightful. He made it so common sense. Hopefully less lost people and bear attacks though....yikes!! I bring an airhorn for black bears and I used it at camp 2 nights ago. I'm not sure what the hell was running in my direction but it sure as shit wasn't a squirrel. I'm sure I scared hikers for freaking miles! 🤣🤣
Once again, another informative show Trips and Miyagi! Always love the education piece and getting to know new people to follow....and..MILOSH MILOSH MILOSH! But the Arctic Trail looks cool!
That cliff letting go is nuts. What a moment to get on film! Imagine how many people paddle up close to those cliffs and get away with it. Sad news about the bear attack. Tragic. Max Patch had it coming. Sadly this is happening all over the place. Lots of crazy stuff going on. I need to meet Milosh! That dude is everywhere. Arctic Mosquito hahahahaha The circle trip looks RAD ! Awesome video !
Thanks Miyagi for a great video. The Leave no trace/stewardship segment was outstanding. I have seen so many places loved to death in my 40 years of backpacking, most notably Red River Gorge. The degradation there has increased exponentially over the last 15 years or so. I hate to say it, but I have to believe all the UA-cam content has contributed to this. There need to be videos made explaining how special and unique The Red is. It's a place to explore, not conquer. I wish every UA-camr would begin their videos with some LNT info and show how to travel more lightly in the backcountry. Because of the damage to that ecosystem there are drastic changes in the works concerning usage of the Red. One proposal is to ban all ridge top and creekside camping, and to close a great number of backcountry camp sites. I don't like the changes coming but having seen the increasing impact on the area I don't disagree.
I hope the campers who saw the bear let everybody know, even if they were sleeping, so ppl could decide if they want to leave or not or sleep in their vehicle. At the very least I'd be spending the rest of the night in my vehicle and find a motel the next morning.
Was interested to see if you had any updates on the Grizzly bit. My kids are in MT right now headed to Glacier. Match Patch is a huge party area, would be great if they can put a stop to the nonsense.
I don't care what anyone says - bear spray appears to be marginally effective in deterring a bear attack... I'm "packing heat" as well, when exploring/hunting/fishing and camping in what's left of God's green earth... and praying I will never have to use it !!! (subscribed) :)
I hope the campers who saw the bear let everybody know, even if they were asleep, so they could decide if they want to leave or not or sleep in their vehicle. At the very least I'd be spending the rest of the night in my vehicle and finding a motel first thing in the morning.
To Miaygi, & Trips, With all due respect I didn't see your channel, Ten Months ago when the Tragic, mauling took place in Ovando, Montana. In following the after incident, chase, & investigation of the Attack. They found evidence that the Victim? Had food items, also personal Hygiene products, with Her in Her Tent. Even after the first time the Bear came through the Camp Ground Earlier, that night. I'm not implying, or saying the Bear wasn't totally innocent, of Wrong doing, in the Killing. But I will just point out that the Authorities, did find multiple evidence, that She & Her Fellow companions. Were very Lax about adhering too the rules! While Traveling, Camping, & the preparation of Thier Food. While in Bear Country. In the ensuing Weeks, after the Mauling, I was relieved that they never found the Offending Bear. For its sake Good 👍😊. Hopefully this coming Camping Season? IT will not try too resume, those Traits again. IF it just so Happens to show, those types of traits & behaviors again? Then I feel "Yes", Damn right it needs too be Destroyed. As they Say Once an Animal turns on too Hunting Humans, or Loses it's fear of Man !! Then it is Time to Track or Hunt, them down and Kill them. I sincerely Hope the Victims Family, has come too terms with what happened Ten Months ago, to Thier Loved One. May She RIP by Our Lord, and be forever Safe. wyoming, robert, 🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦🇺🇸🤔🤔💭😊👍👍🙏🙏
Hello Robert! Thanks so much for commenting. This was truly a sad story and drives home so many points to consider as you mentioned above. My guess is that the group had a false sense of security camping in town and didn’t take the appropriate precautions that all hikers in bear country should take. These are tragic lessons that hopefully people will use to help keep themselves safe and our bears safe while exploring our beautiful country. Fist bumps ~ Miyagi & Trips
The folks littering and vandalizing should be arrested, fined, and actually spend some time in jail. That might educate them to be more responsible and respectful.
How could anyone camp with food in their tents in grizzly country. I'm so sorry they passed but please let this ne a lesson to do your research when camping !!
Wow well said. Timothy untreadwell wanna bes. Have you ever watched grizzly man? I’ve watched it several times over and over and yet I have so many questions with no answers. Maybe you could give me some insight.
The capital city of Montana is pronounced: Hell - e (short vowel) - Na NOT: Hell - ee - na as the male narrator pronounced it. Please make sure your pronunciation of capitol cities in the US are said correctly before recording. It just grates on people from there or who know better.
Thank you for the pronunciation correction. Also, “capitol” refers to a building in which the legislative body of government meets, not the city as a whole. You use both spellings interchangeably in your comment referring to the city.
I know. When one types along they tend to misspell. Roll for role, close for clothes. I do it all the time. It is still pronounced Hell-e-na. When the pronunciation is pointed out, most out of staters just say, who cares about MT anyway. When it isn't known how to pronounce a city name and someone is from there especially if it is the capital...then there is an opportunity to let as many people as possible know how to pronounce it. No harm, no foul. Or is it fowl
To be honest, I actually did look it up prior to recording for fear of pronouncing it wrong….then I go and mispronounce it anyway. Best intentions I promise!
Good luck and happiness to your heart and life 👉👉👍👍🌹🌹🌹

Let’s do Greenland in the coldest part of winter 🥶!!! 😂. That would be crazy to be at the top of the cliff and hear that thing give way…. 😳

I heard the life expectancy for a tourist in Florida, is 15 days. She's lucky she made it back.

Update: Officials we’re able to verify and dispatch the animal. DNA confirmed it was the same animal involved in the fatal attack on the camper.

Why on God's green Earth would a young lady (or anyone) hike and sleep on the ground alone deep into bear country?
