ugh same woofer/passive radiator layout as the Studio 5 which I hated.. went backwards with the mid bass but probably improved treble directivity with that array
@@tenvali1434 i got two studio 8 I felt the bass performs much nicer! In stereo mode the treble behaves better. I normally hide both inside a wood closed tv counter add I have to kill the bass using the equalizer becase of that. The bass sounds different depending on where you place the device and from where you listen, its kind of a hustle to get it right. You could try to place it on some surface lower than your hip and higher than your kness, also around 20 cm away from a wall not too close, not too far. Aah, some home spaces and furniture can absorb frequencies of the speaker and make it sound poorly in comparison of how it sounds in open air. You count temporarily try the testing mode of the Studio 7 or studio 8, these are some button codes you can use to override some automatic EQ settings, I don't have them by hand but they are available online. Make sure you don't use the testing mode in a daily basis because it can downgrade the quality of the battery and the drivers. Hope this helps to your next decision.
@Wavwe the studio 5 sits next to my tv in corner, so the bass is good and i have used the service mode only when i dont want bass. I tried studio 7 in stereo and i wasnt impressed.
Yeah it sounds great but it probably is the same as all other onyx bur more expensive. I have a onyx 3 and my friend a 7 and they sounds exactly the same, good but the same.
the tweeter array looks like a sonos play 5
Great upgrade! Gotta get a pair
Wow that looks and sounds great
@@Jagistreviews it does sound really good. The tweeter array keeps the sound consistent from most angles.
@@JoshsGadgetsandMore that actually makes me wanting to buy it
Is it water resistent?

I have the 5 and can say the same. It sounds nice but still. I had a 7 too but sold it because the treble was too harsh

no, that is for charging phones only from the speaker battery
Looks like they still using the same passive radiators and active driver from 5,6,7,8. And only 8 hours of battery thats a shame
I have Studio 5 and I compared it at home with Onyx Studio 8 but it sounded identical...
onyx studio 4 cant be beat.
Good sound but bad battery
