This is a AMV I made while I was between projects. I am huge fan of the show. Please support them! I do not own anything here.

Rick and Morty: the show that tells you life is meaningless but then shows you how important family, friendship, loyalty and love are.

Rick shooting Mr. Jellybean is the first thing he did that made him likable to me.
He knew what happened, and he decided to protect Morty's feelings in every way that he could in that situation. He took care of it and Morty didn't have to worry or think about it anymore.

Isabelle Parker rick seems to be the only one allowed to mess with morty, if some else hurts morty, rick will make your life a living hell
You can definitely tell he cares, while no other Rick does. When he cries seeing Morty in episode 10 its very deep

It just dawned on me that this is very well the only Rick in the multi-verse that can actually feel empathy. Imagine being the smartest man in the multi-verse with no one in reality who understands you, not even all the other infinite yous. Rick is essentially the loneliest man in all existence. The only unique thing in all of creation. Except maybe his Morty...which is why he's so important to Rick.

True burman. But that Rick is also suppose to be the less intelligent one. It is still not a Rick our Rick could connect with or feel a like too. Our Rick is very cynical whereas dorky Rick isn't as much, they are the same but very very different. Rick really is alone even amongst other Ricks. His Morty is the only person he has really connected with and who makes him feel like he isn't alone, it's also someone he can try and do better by since he wasn't there for his daughter.

I think the reason why Rick says Wubba Lubba Dub Dub, is so it reflects the feelings of depression he has. Nobody else seems to understand what you are saying, even when you day it to their face, or yell it like some catchphrase. a foreign language.

Well Rick doesn't feel like a human, he's too clever. He talks about humans as if he is alien, so it does seem to add up. But im probably going too deep with it, and wubba lubba dub dub was just made up because it sounds funny XD

Wubba Lubba Dub Dub means "I am in great pain. Please help me." in Bird Man's language. He is actually saying his feelings to people when he says it. He's so intelligent that not only can people not relate to him, he can't relate to anyone else. Including the other him's spread out through the infinite multiverse. Rick is actually the loneliest being in all of existence, incapable of connecting on any meaningful level with any other entity. Even Unity who was capable of essentially being a galaxy couldn't keep up with his mind. Who wouldn't be depressed. The reality of this series is surprisingly deep once you stop to think about it.

I feel you there. When rick attenoted suicide like, i was balling my eyes out in front of several other people. I dont know i just couldnt do it. I was like, how the fuck did this cartoon bring me to that emotional state. But thats rick and morty and why we loves it! It always hits us in the existential emotions.
I freaking hate how Dan Harmon can make us laugh our asses off, then cry almost as bad as the episode of Futurama with Seymour in it within the same episode of this show. Damn, there's some really good writing going on with this show. Loved the AMV, especially since I just watched the episode featuring this song(I skipped it cause I was forewarned about the feels, but that didn't help at all lol)

+Gareth 101 just google kisscartoon Rick and Morty and watch it in HD there, the creators don't care. I don't have to feel conscious about it because I DVR the episodes when they air here in the UK on Fox. They're putting on the season finale only 3 days after the US, it's pretty neat

Season 2 spoilers. Rick would sacrifice everything for Morty. Abandon his own universe, leave his daughter, plunge into space after Morty. In the second that Rick thinks he's not going to make it, he says "...Morty, be better than me" Rick says Wubba Lubba Dub Dub because deep down he's got many secrets, many regrets, and a true sadness. Rick is doing everything he can to make Morty happy, wise, and intelligent while at the same time he's conflicted, because he doesn't want Morty to outgrow or outsmart him - hence all the 'stupid' insults to put Morty down. Rick voluntarily goes to prison because he wants his family to be happy and free, he wants Morty to grow up happy, and it's the hardest thing he's ever had to do because he believes his grandson needs his guidance, what with the idiotic family and all. This music video is perfect, it really gets these feelings going and portrays the dynamic character of Rick well.

I think I understand how the song fits into Rick and Morty.
"Gotta find my way away from this place. Can you take me now?" represents that one episode where Rick and Morty destroyed their dimension and had no other choice but to find another one where they were dead and had to take their place.
"Do you feel it, do you feel it, do you feel that I can see your soul? tells us that to Rick, Morty is more than a human shield for his brain waves and he's taking him on all of these adventures as lessons about life and science and how to smart in situations Rick's faced before.
"I want it real, runaway with now" represents Rick and Morty's adventure in the simulation world and there several attempts to escape it with Rick realizing the Morty he was traveling with wasn't real and he wanted to know if Morty back on Earth was real or not.
The other thing I like about this video is how it subverts expectation by being about the toxic relationship between Rick and Morty, instead of Rick and Unity. Brilliant.

Never did I think I would become so invested in this show, I originally wrote it off and thought it was going to be terrible but eventually I was convinced to watch it and I'm so glad I did, so emotional and so funny.
rick doesn't care about anything but in certain episodes he shows he really does care for Morty. He understands what happened to Morty with Mr jellybean he saved Morty over himself in season 2 and he has memories showing he really does love Morty.
I only live for this, steven universe, adventure time, and the possible Danny Phantom Reboot.

This makes me question life
I "lost" an entire day watching all 2 seasons plus S3EP1 and I feel so numb. This is so awsome and funny but at the same time so deep. I need a stuff like that at this point of my life. It's like everything is so accurate about all those things that happen to all of us. I can somehow even relate to Rick. He needs some sort of relationship with someone, but at the same time he's too scared of getting too involved, because he learnt that when he cares too much it only hurts more when he loses it. Goddammit... I didn't even think that I could get this emotional over a comedy cartoon.

A cool story line would be, if that little monster he kills at the end was actually Morty from another dimension that got mutated into that somehow and that rick has been trying to figure out a way to restore him to him former self because of the pain he's suffering.
+John John The actual meaning of it is that the little monster represents Rick himself! Someone on the crew clarified this, I believe? That was the reason for him shushing, petting, and 'consoling' it through it's pain before Rick killed it. kinda sad, tbh.

Good idea but the red crystal that they used ment that doing that would kill EVERY type of it meaning it would kill every morty. As that is a dimensional crystal used too kill them and as he wanted to kill all the ricks as he wouldnt be able to defend morty if rick killed just him as he would be traded to another rick and he didnt want that. So he didnt want morty to die yet he didnt want to live anymore either and there was only one way for that to be possible.(let me know if anything i said doesnt make sense im on my phone)
