Rick built the Central Finite Curve to create a Cage…… he wanted to create a tiny little infinite cage where he could wallow in despair and where he could pretend he was a god, just to overcome the powerlessness of not being able to avenge his family’s killer… The Sad part is that by creating the Central Finite Curve Rick expanded his despair unto the innocent Morty’s who were just trying to live their lives with their already abusive Ricks. By creating the Citadel of Ricks, and walling off all the other infinite Universes where Rick wasn’t the smartest man in the universe, Rick incidentally created a Prison, where the only dominant force was Ricks, and anyone who tried to defy them or object to their unjust ways, would either be caged, used, or killed off and Thrown away like Trash. He created a literal Hellscape, where the only purpose a Morty could serve was to either be a Personal Accessory to a Rick, or die and get thrown away for a more favorable “Simpler” Morty. They literally created a f*cking Miniature Multiverse where the only function a Morty could serve was to be Stupid or Brain-Dead. It’s sick to think about what kind of life a person would live, if they just happened to be born as a Morty in the Central Finite Curve by coincidence and just be told by your Rick that you have only 2 Options when it comes to your entire existence across infinity: Obey. Or. Die. It honestly makes me puke.

That’s why he says “don’t blame me” because in the end, it’s THEIR choice that’s keeping them tied down to Rick. They can choose to rebel against the system and be like him of they want to, but instead they simply choose to take the easy way out and forgive their Rick’s for all the abuse and suffering they’ve endured. It’s a toxic and endlessly perpetuating cycle that infinitely feeds into itself and makes all the victims involved, Trapped inside with no Way Out. We’ve seen him display some of Rick’s genius intellect a few times in the show on his own, and he’s proven more than enough times that the only reason he’s keeping his grandfather around is for emotional comfort and self-validation. Our Morty could easily become just as smart and independent as Evil Morty is and go on his own adventures with his own Portal Gun… But what does he do instead…? He comes crawling back to his grandpa with tears in his eyes whining and stuttering, and asks for Forgiveness… Eyepatch Morty is the only Morty in the entirety of the Central Finite Curve that managed to look past the individual petty arguments between Ricks and Morty’s and see the Truth… The Partnership between Rick Sanchez & Morty Smith Is an Exploitative Delusion. It’s nothing more than a constantly ever-growing Systemic Sequence of Ricks abusing Mortys and Mortys throwing a tantrum about it, only for them to come sniveling back and asking for their Ricks forgiveness. Over and over, the Series of unfortunate events that follow this pattern continue to permeate until it eventually becomes the Norm, and Rick and Mortys just get used to it. Their emotions become dulled out and their relationship between each other becomes stale, resulting in more Ricks looking for “better” Morty’s to continue this half-voluntary arrangement for the sake of their own Ego’s and Satisfaction. It’s Unhealthy and Obtuse, but more than that it’s Damaging. Both to the mental states of Ricks who are constantly living their life’s in depression while pretending to be gods, and Morty’s, who become the living human punching-bags of their grandfather’s and become nothing but enablers to the egomaniacal Ricks who take advantage of their cooperation and compassion for their own toxic sustenance. Eyepatch Morty isn’t the “Rickest Morty” like everyone keeps saying. He’s just a Morty who decided to take his Rick’s advice seriously: “I’m tired of you weaponizing this half-assed threat!
