There is a story in Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay that tells of a Karak Kadrin Ranger that made friends with Halagrundsor the 'Horrible'.
Hal (for short) is a Giant spy that keeps an eye out on one of the passes through the World's Edge Mountains that Empire merchants use to carry goods without getting attacked by orcs and goblins.
In turn, Hal gets paid in barrels of alcohol (Which is noted to be much cheaper than having to hire mercenaries to fight the greenskins).
Thanks for your previous video. I didn't know that you could preview arcs of fire for your units with Shit+X. Helps a lot.
Oh god, the misspelling is on point 😂
I love that you picked up the Giant, but my first ever run with the Dwarven Ranger I got the option to get a Imperial Dragon at my first event (like node 2 I think), and It was both good and very fun to fly around with a Dragon that had it's breath attack and the dwarfs gun, and since he has ambush the dragon also got it. So I could start with my little terrer far forward (often in a forest for cover and due to flying no penalty to get out)
It was very very fun and very good at first doing 2 ranged attacks and then charge them in the back, get some extra attacks on hero and dragon and it killed a lot of units
14:45 I have fond memorys of a dwarf crossbow unit that got charged in the front by human knights, lost like 2 models, killed a bunch on the smackback and caused the knights to immediatly rout
"he's a good boy". *promptly renames*
Had me LMAO!
Good boi ftw.
Still enjoying these SOVL videos every day! FYI the warhammer music you've added abruptly cuts out randomly a few times each video, maybe its done on purpose but thought I'd tell you in caser you didn't notice.
That's definitely not on purpose. I just dump the music in and hit export so if a track has a weird abrupt ending I'd never have noticed.
That is worth a thumbs up.
Wait for tier lists to strat popping😊
Quick thing Janet, I’m pretty sure if you move your unit but don’t actually confirm the move you can still check if their ranged attack can hit an enemy
I know, I use it constantly. Though it does nothing to communicate what is short or long range, or differentiate between different ranged attack cones for different units, and it never actually says if anything is explicitly targetable or not. You have to guess whether the specific couple of pixels overlapping are enough to target the unit or not. I assume that’s where the confusion lies since I’ve been checking ranges pretty much since I started covering this game.
@@JanetOnOccasion sorry I might not have worded it correctly, I know you do the range check normally but what I meant was it would show the arc of fire from the blue square, though maybe I’ve just been missing it and it is hard to tell sometimes which arc of fire is from which unit when they overlap
You worded it fine. I'm doing that regularly.
@@JanetOnOccasion got it, I must have just not noticed/forgot
Th Giants were the Skytitans until the Ogres moved up and basicly killed and ate all of them (90% of them) and the resulting inbreeding of the Skytitans literally made them stupider and then they became the giants
Yeah, that's what I was talking about.
