As a kid i wasn't restricted in what i was able to watch Futurama is one of my favorite shows of all time, seeing it being brought back makes me happy im only 22 but ive rewatched this how multiple times to catch all the subtle jokes

I was never a Futurama fan until one day I was stoned off my ass and stumbled upon a rerun. I then binge watched the series, and it became one of my favorite cartoons. I love all the subtle jokes and nerd humor.
The diferent planets and life forms are one of the best parts of the show, they are not that predictble or boring, everytime i see a new location i got curious, Futurama is awesome.
This just made me realize how most of season 11 (the new stuff, depending on how you count) just happens on Earth, with only one episode where they actually go to a new planet for an extended period of time. Futurama lost its adventure, just another reason why the new stuff is a whole lot of "meh" with no highs but many lows.

Man I really missed all the scifi lit references as a kid, there's some deep cuts! That's what I love about the show, it had a ton of genuine appreciation for what it parodied, and actually enaged with what made it interesting.

When a planet name has a number after it, that’s actually the start’s name and the number is it’s order. For example, Earth might be “Sol 3” or “Helios 3”. It weirdly improves Futurama’s worldbuilding. Obviously Zoidberg’s species didn’t evolve calling their sun Decapod and their planet Decapod 10. But Earth is so Earth-centric that our name for it *would* just be Decapod 10.
