This wil hold for a month or so, and you’ll be installing new platen in no time. Grinding out transmission plates will only increase the slack on the transmission

Im fairly sure the teeth removed from the plates is needed for proper operation of the pinion gears. I figure Caterpillar puts them in there for a reason. So what was accomplished by cutting them out?

Rebuilding the rear axle, and replacing/rebuilding brakes, not the transmission!😂 really just replacing brakes.

Is that what they did or did they make it a sure slip? Differentials have always confused me for some reason. Seems like a lot of work to do things wrong.
