Jonathan's the ultimate nerd. Has been for years. He knows his Marvel, DC, manga, Star Wars et al. And it's great his wife has similar tastes.

I love that you can pause the video at just about any point in the episode and zoom around the background to see any number of incredible things they didn’t even get a chance to talk about. It’s like the toy collector’s ultimate cabinet of curiosities.

There was a ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ moment where he points to a toy (IN BOX!) and says ‘there’s a transformers like toy’ and instantly moves on. I’m pretty sure that was a Soundwave-before-he-was-Soundwave. Ridiculous. I love it.

As a tv presenter I went off Johnathan Ross years ago, but as a fellow toy collector, I could spend all day discussing toys with him. You gave him and his collection the attention they deserved - unlike Fiona Bruce on an Antiques Roadshow Toy special that was shown last month, in which she characteristically mocked him and gave him all of what, 5 mins airtime? My biggest regret was selling my 500 plus Action Man collection to Alan Hall....wish I'd never done it. Prices went up the moment I had sold them to him....if I ever become wealthy I shall buy up a shedload of mint items again....one can dream...

I think it was 3min 30s of Jonathan despite it being the lead in the Radio Times review and The Metro! It’s strange that action figure toys are still looked down upon on the Antiques Roadshow, they seem to prefer old stuffed bears and tin toys. The great thing about us being on UA-cam is we can dedicate an hour to a collection and try and go into some detail and it finds it’s audience. Thanks for watching.

Actually loved this. I've obviously heard for years and years about how he's into comics and toys but I never knew fully to what extent, I wasn't expecting anything like this, and I still didn't get to see any comics, just awesome though. I reckon he probably loved having the chance to show it off a bit too.

I live in the states and my first introduction to Jonathan Ross was from a small clip of him on the Nirvana documentary: Live, Tonight, Sold Out. I never would have ever imagined that he was a fellow toy collector and artist. Mr. Ross comes across as a very passionate and dedicated collector. His collection showcases his keen eye for the art of vintage toys. Through his collection (as well as his own artistic contributions) he is providing a much needed service of preserving a great history. This was a brilliant video, well done!

I remember his anime program on channel 4 about 20 years ago when no one had heard of animie. Changed my life. Impossible not to instantly want an entire micronauts collection now. I thought I had heard of everything, I was wrong. Downside of such a great video is that micronauts prices are now virtually doubled.... sad face. Didn't he say he has another office? Part 2 please?

Galactic Patrol Lensman (23:45) was a 1984 feature and TV series. It had a lot of original mecha design that made for a bit different toys, models, etc. Got a bit of attention for as mentioned, being based on a US science fiction book property rather than manga. Though I think at least as much publicity for hybrid cel animation and computer graphic space ships.

This was wonderful. Jonathan's long been known for being a right old nerd, bless but I wasn't expecting him to be such a hardcore Micronauts guy! And Lensman! Plus I laughed out loud when he showed off the Cy-Kill model kit, wanna see that thing built!
So yeah, loved this tour through his collection, just lovely to see.

What an incredible collection! It's takes a lot of work and dedication to source, collect and display a stunning collection like that.
    It's almost museum like 👍
Thank you for sharing and thank you Johnathon for talking us through your individual unique items.

I loved my Major Matt Mason, so few remember him these days. My tracked rover was played with incessantly, eventually it wore out to where it wouldn't stay in high gear.

So that's the reason I can't find a spare Micronaunt Time Traveller hand, coz Jonathan has got them all!
Stunning collection, could spend all day in there!

I knew Jonathan ross liked toys, but I didn't know it was to this extent. I love watching the Christmas toy countdown he presented a few years back

I had seen Jonathan mention his comic collection and he's often talked about his martial art film collection but I had no idea he has a stunning toy collection too. I think a lot of us would do the exact same thing if we could. I can imagine you'd need a series in order to showcase each interest he has. It's not just the collections, it's the knowledge he has too.
