Thank you for this sir. Saved me much time and trouble. Much appreciated!
🤣 I don't know if I saved you time or not. I was hoping that I could get the dipstick out from the top and not have to take it apart to get it out. Hopefully you just replaced yours before it broke. Thank you for watching and commenting.
Thank you for the video and the info I have the same exact problem with the same exact car lol. Thanks again appreciate it
Thanks for this. My son just had his alternator replaced today and now is leaking engine oil. I suspect the dipstick tube may be the culprit.
I hope you find the leak
Thanks to the dummies at the oil change place it was shoved in so deep it was impossible to remove. (I found this out later. Of course, these people did not own up to ruining my car) I tried this screw trick and it would not budge. I even added some oil around dip stick, still no movement. I heated the tube and still no movement. Really hate that I paid a fortune to have my oil changed so these dummies could ruin my car. Now it will cost $300-$400 to have a mechanic fix it. Any other thoughts on how to get this out? I am not a mechanic, and I am reluctant to take my Chrysler 300 apart. ANY thoughts on more ways to get it out?
I can't think of anything else unfortunately that's why I disassembled mine to get the old one out.
@@DCAutoEnhancement Thank you for your reply. I am going to try one more thing and see if I can get this out. Be well.
Looks to me you got lucky on where it broke. Coulda just used a needle nose pliers or vise grips on the screw/bolt and pulled it out.
@@mgsdrp maybe next time
Unfortunately someone used a screw that was too wide for that plastic, and they stripped it out. Had you they used a narrower screw your problem would have been solved.
I used what I had on hand. I thought I was on the right track.
I failed to mention this is definitely a good dipstick removal video.
