Lenny and Midge should not get together. Lenny's REAL life was troubled and dark..... Let's not compromise his integrity with a saccharine love affair.... Give me a break... He was a drug addict who married a stripper. Friendship is good enough. Besides she needs to get back together with Joel who LOVES her.

The little crushes they have on each other is way better........ Joel loses his mind at the thought of anything hurting Midge in the slightest bit. He felt he was not good enough for her when they split up....It is why they spit up. But EVERYTHING he is doing now to make himself a better man is really because he wants to be worthy of her.
@@WeekndMae Joel didn't love himself so he hurt himself....which also hurt Midge. He had to tear himself down to build himself back up. You either understand the psychological factors of the human condition... or you dont.
