Got one of these for my 2003 cr 250 and it runs awesome right out of the box. It was perfect out of the box except it pinged at medium acceleration. I richened it up and it ran fine but not great. Learned I needed to put it back and run high octane gas! Now it runs fantastic. My bike has cylinder head work and wiseco race piston so that's why I figured I needed race gas. And my fuel economy is crazy! Go out for an hour and use barely and gas! Probably tripled my fuel economy from my carburetor!
Something that they forgot to mention, if you get stuck or have additional questions reach out to Lectron yourself, they are great people and will answer all your questions and they really do know their stuff.
Got this for my 2003 CR 125. I ended up having to take off the subframe and the rear shock to get it to fit in there. I tried all kinds of ways and that was the only way to get it in. I also put on V-Force 3 reeds and that made the space a bit smaller. Was a tight fit putting the air box back on but it fits.
Just checked out Lectron's site and the 38-H carb is the only option for the YZ250/YZ250X. Lectron said this is the "high velocity" carb. Does this carb make the YZ250X too snappy and/or uncontrollable? I have a 2017 YZ250X and I'm done with jetting, but I also don't want this modification to put me in the hospital either. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
I want to get oke of these for my 2021 fantic 250 2 stroke but I want sure about the electronics going onto the carb do they still go onto the lectron ??
Yes, find your carb barrel size and search that size on their website. Call ahead and tell them details about your bike. A 5 min. Convo and they will tell you what rod you need.
I bought a electron carb for my sons yz85. Worked great. Now it bogs out when you give it gas. Changed spark plug and cleaned everything. Why is it doing this?
That is odd especially if nothing obvious has changed. Lectron has some great tech support that should be able to help you get your bike running nicely again. You can find Lectron's contact info here: www.lectronfuelsystems.com/contact
That is the throttle position sensor which won't be used if you're new carb doesn't have one. You can trace the connector back to the harness and see if you can unplug it. You can also just use some electrical tape to keep water out of the connector.
This is the stock throttle housing. Did your Lectron come with a throttle cable? Some of the older models use a cable specific to Lectron and some of the newer Lectrons reuse the stock throttle cable. Lectron has great customer support if you have technical questions. www.lectronfuelsystems.com/contact
Lectron does not utilize the TPS and they suggest disconnected it when installing the Lectron. Lectron has a throttle position sensor FAQ page I'll link so you can check out some more info on that: www.lectronfuelsystems.com/tps_faq
Yes, there is a Lectron available for your bike and it will come with the a different flange if it is necessary for your bike. But the 2019 and 2020 SX bikes shouldn't need the shorter intake flange. There’s no point of spending that type of money on a bike that can barely break 20 mph, save your money this is better for something like a 85cc or bigger, anything below just run the stock carb
That is correct. The only adjustments are an idle screw and metering rod that can be fine tuned, but a lot of times those don't even need adjusted. Nothing else on your engine will need to be tuned.
@@rmatvmc Do you know how i can order a brand new carb for a 2005 crf 450r from keihin? I looked on their website but i don’t see any buy options only contact numbers. Do they not sell online?
I Have a Lectron High Velocity on my husky tx300. Best mod yet, runs smoother, more mid to top end power and better fuel efficiency.

What do you do with the connector that you unplugged from the carb that was attached to the old throtle?
Do you have a timestamp for when we show that connector you're talking about?
2 minutes

The cable doesn't thread in my throttle housing? Is a different housing required or is that the stock housing on this bike??

Do you have to use the throttle cable with the carburetor? Can I just use my other throttle cable?
Lectron uses their own throttle cable that comes included with the carburetor.
What if you have a throttle position sensor integrated on OE carburetor?
Lectron does not utilize the TPS and they suggest disconnected it when installing the Lectron. Lectron has a throttle position sensor FAQ page I'll link so you can check out some more info on that: www.lectronfuelsystems.com/tps_faq

i wish i had the money to buy one
clawsss it’s worth saving up , yes it’s a tad bit expensive but definitely worth the money
What you end up saving on fuel will eventually cover it up
@@kevinortiz1210 i mean even if i had the money to buy one i would still buy other parts to fix my bike😅
