Watching your vlog on my TV and just as I pressed send you mentioned American Adventure. Lol I remember having my ear pierced and the coaster busted my ear! 🤦🏼♀️
i went to pleasurewood hills saturday 24 september 2022, went on all the rides there, inc wipeout, which used to be the missile at American adventure, which I rode back in 1995. it was like saying hi to an old friend. trouble is, at end of the day, wipeout finally gave up for the day with people at the top of the lift hill just before the backwards portion. they had to be rescued, and my nephew described the process to me as we rode across the lagoon on the cable car. it took them ages to free the people from wipeout. in the end, they lowered them down on the chain lift and evacced from the lowest part of the ride.
Yeah, it’s funny seeing the reaction of both of them, I wonder what all of their photos looks like on the coasters? I bet most of them had a camera in them.
My home park! gotta love the eggxpress (snake in the grass, as i know it) and the secret tradition of getting the riders to cheer and sending them round again if its enthusiastic enough haha
If you're ever feeling down then watch this video. This is one of the most enjoyable and feel good videos I've seen for ages. Not just because of the video but because of the way it's presented. Totally natural in front of the camera. They should have their own tv show.
Not been to this park in years! Looking amaxing and making me want to return! If The Looping Group did do an annual pass I'd be very happy! Living on the edge of Birmingham means that Drayton Manor is 45 mins one way and West Midlands Safari Park is only 30 mins the other way!!!
I thought I saw you guys when we went on Sunday, we were eating lunch by the lake when we saw you guys get on the chair lift as soon as it opened! I do think it's an underrated park and you can really tell they have put a lot money into it recently
Aw my local, haven't been in so long! I remember whren "Egg-Spress" used to be "The Rattlesnake" probably my first ever roller coaster experience and was always my first ride whenever i visited until they launched Canonball Express and later Wipeout. The tunnel on Rattlesnake used to have Fluorescent snakes painted on the walls accompanied by hissing noises form speakers dotted about. Glad to see the chairs still running to this day! I do miss American Adventure, still have some photos posing outside when they converted their Indian cliff face sculptures to an "Aleins" themed dark ride attraction, they had a massive "Jaws!" monument/statue that you could pause for a photo and stand underneath a massive shark hanging above your head on some fishing rig
Hey i remember when the Rattlesnake was the Ladybird, it had two tunnels and one with flashing lights, also it had doors all lined up on the platform for each seating unit, it's better without the doors but we do miss the tunnels.
Visited on the 28th July and it was meant to be raining all day but barely rained so that was nice. Found it to have a lot of potential but definitely think it feels just a little run down. And something I found just hilarious is on Jolly Roger how the ride op uses the end of a broom stick to prod something in the ride system, dont think you'd ever see that at a merlin park 😂. Got at the park at 11:40 and left before close getting on most things once and Cannonball Express and Wipeout 4 times each. There were a couple queues (just on cannonball express, marble madness and water fun factory) but only a max of 20 minutes. Did love the chairlift, such a fantastic view of that lake and wipeout!
9:48 no way! I thought it got scrapped when they removed it ! good to see that the first ever roller coaster I remember riding is still up and running somewhere
Great to see they looking after the missile from American adventure it brings back memories of the many happy times I spent riding it at the park as a kid I used to have season pass and went every day
love it when you visit the hills, nice to have each year documented, pity you weren't able to do this during the 80s and 90s.. lol Great to see the park busy that's always good news.
Thanks for watching! The channel will continue to focus on the theme park adventures of me and Charlotte, however I still see my friends on a regular basis!
Hi Shawn, watching this one back. You NEED to do the 'Primevil' Halloween event at Roarr Dinosaur Adventure. It's only down the road from here. You can also hit the Pleasurewood Hills & Pleausre Beach Halloween Events. Deffo need to do primevil though. Really really good!!!!
We went about 3 weeks ago. Fab day out, and the improvements they’re making are really noticeable. Wipeout is intense! Eggspress (or Rattlesnake as I’ll always remember it) is my 4 year olds favourite ride. Great vlog again! Looking forward to Joyland and Pleasurebeach vlogs, we went the day before you were there! Gutted!
Ahhh, my local theme park. I remember when there used to be a huge multi-lane slide where Canonball Express is now. Marble Madness always leaves me feeling a bit battered and bruised - as much as I love the ride, I definitely feel worse for going on it. Not sure if you remember Mr Blobby, but he and Noel Edmonds had a show running for three years in that castle. We did the 2021 Fairground Frights at Pleasure Beach. Enjoyed it a lot more than Pleasurewood Chills. The train carriage that used to be a scare attraction - going back, it used to be a restaurant, and then after that it became converted for birthday parties for a while :) Waveswinger actually lived at the park in the late 80's/early 90s, before making way for the more modern rides. It was the only ride my mother would ride, and was so pleased to see it come back
Cannonball desperately needs a paint job has done for years, park is decent enough and has lots of potential. Reminds me of a pleasure island type park. Shawn moaning at price Of food again after having their own sausage rolls. 😂😂 Cracks me up!
Very good. The rest of the fencing does need a clean Moby Dick definitely needs a good drop of oil. Anyway, make sure you and Shawn get out there and keep on riding. 😊
I always used to come here when I was young, I was brave on one visit and my family went on wipeout, I was fine, but my parents couldn't drive home that evening 😅. At least we got another day in Yarmouth!
Enjoyed watching the drop tower. I was at Blackpool pleasure beach Saturday the 14th and we didnt get the old hang time at the top of ice blast. It only took you to the top, dropped half way back up and back down. I think its better when it hangs for abit. This looks like q lovely park to visit, glad you both had a marvellous time. Edit: rode icon for the first time and at night.. absolutely EPIC 👌
Water Fun Factory and Adventure Cove have a similar color pallet. Wonder if Looping Group might start building a loose universe that Cedar Fair has going on
There use to be a Vekoma Boomerang at Pleasue Island in Cleethorpes, Lincolnshire. The park has unfortunately closed down now, but it was my first ever theme park and the Boomerang was my first ever coaster so that type of rollercoaster will always hold a special place in my heart.
@@ThemeParkWorldwide so do I. I still regularly drive past it. All the rides have long gone but there is still the building the held the carousel and the entrance buildings.
I’ve been to both PWH parks in Cornwall, Lowestoft with my folks on our vacations many many years ago with their PWH mascot woody the bear 🐻 show, there were so many amazing rides attractions even some dinosaur 🦖 🦕, animal fairytale story ride animatronics in Cornwall. PWH is an amazing theme park as Lowestoft PWH park again looks barely recognisable. Hope you both are having an awesome adventurous Spanish vacation in the theme parks, Stay Safe, Thank you again for your amazing endless fun blogs,
I worked at Morey’s Piers, Wildwood, NJ during my Uni gap year way back in 1994. They’ve got a Verkoma Boomerang (Sea Serpent) on one of the piers, which was my first ever coaster experience. Never knew they had a boomerang in the U.K! I’ll be planning a trip to Pleasurewood Hills next year for a nostalgic ride on Wipeout! 😎 New subscriber to the channel. Really entertaining content. The Cobra boomerang at West Midlands Safari Park was awesome and cutting edge back in the early 80s, good to see one still going in the UK, would love to ride it as I was too small for the Cobra

I went in May half term with my cousins loved jolly Rodger and canonball but hated wipeout so much but on Friday went to flamingo land and loved it and especially enjoyed velocity
Went here years ago when I was little, the log flume looks so much nicer! I remember being too scared to go on that horror ride, it makes sense to remove it haha. Great video :)
Had no idea there was a boomerang in the UK. The only one I've been on is in Canada Wonderland (Toronto) called Bat, such good fun. I would highly recommend Canada's wonderland too. They have 2x B&M hypercoasters there which are just insane.
Great Vlog - have made a note of the few points you mentioned. We shall be visiting for the first time in October. Be my first ever classic Vekoma Boomerang.
Great video, i went here yesterday. They’ve got a few really good rides. Just a shame that since going there years ago the park hasn’t really grown at all. A few new rides but its lost the same amount and a large part of the park is fenced off and looks abandoned. A few million pumped into Pleasurewood Hills and it could be something really special.
Hi Shaun, I was the guy who asked for a photo near wipeout! I notice that I’m in the background twice whilst you’re down at eggspress! Hope you’re enjoying Spain !
I remember riding that Wild Mouse when it was at Flamingo Land.... They should of kept it. When I went there a few months back , I gave Hero a miss. I watch many theme park channels and it is consistently at the top of the "worse coaster" lists. Love a good Wild Mouse thou!!!
I agree, only recently did they remove fireball (KMG afterburner) from the park. This is due to them wanting to invest into the family market instead. Hope they can get something good there. I my opinion because PWH is owned by the looping group who also own drayton manor they could get G-force (which is in storage) and place it somewhere in PWH. This could very much bring more people to the park. Note i found this theory on a video.
Wipeout reminds me of American Adventure! 💔 So many childhood memories there!! X

Cannonball express my favourite here since 1995 when I first met it :-)

Pleasurewood Hills is a nice little family theme park. They could do with adding more rides/coasters as there are lots of empty spaces around.
I'd love a dark coaster in there, more dark rides would be great
I think a flying elephant ride will work extraordinarily well with this park
Edit 23:51 I think this ride will work well there
