Anderson doesn’t need the last name Vanderbilt, he is very successful in his own right.

@@janiceloney2685 Sure, sure!! Of course, who wouldn't? I was just responding to a comment about his talent. I am just saying there are talented people who never get a chance. Other talented people do. Did Anderson work hard? Yes, he did. But again, his staring place was not the same as everybody else's. Kate Hudson, talented? Yes. But not same starting place. John Washington (Denzel's son), Enrique Iglesias, the same... So yes, talented people, but they did have it a little easier than the rest. That's all.

CBS Mornings -- maybe reduce the hosts per guests to only one. They're all competing with one another to get their questions and responses across. Anderson is great because he works in news so he can handle it, but there's a lot of air-time wasted with the hosts talking over one another. Anyone else hear/see this?

Gayle has the tendency to always talk over guests and other anchors. Which is why anchors don’t last on this show. She tries to portray herself as a real journalist but the only reason she is where she is is due to her friendship with Oprah.

@@gtpm1 yes, this woman talks waayy too much, she interrupts, and ends this nice piece of media where Anderson does such a great job in telling about his family and his new book, this ghastly woman says " the producer says that Anderson needs to stop talking " ???? really ?? how is this woman a professional interviewer ? her connection with Oprah may have gotten her in some doors, but why is she still here ?? she is the reason I do not normally watch the morning shows that she is on

Sadly, it's really Gayle who is the problem. After all these years, she still approaches this morning news program as though it were an entertainment talk show where she would be more inclined to say everything she wanted and make all the unnecessary jokes that she is accustomed to making. Poor Nate is completely overshadowed, but Tony is really stepping it up. They should consider reducing Gayle's presence in the 8o'clock hour. She is too dominant.

Oh how I want to get this book! When I was a tween and teenager, the Gloria Vanderbilt line was the designer every girl wanted to own something from. Her signature perfume was my first "grown up " perfume and I still have a small atomizer with a little perfume left in it. As an older woman, now in my 60's, I still have & buy jeans from her line. They are the only jeans that ever fit me well. Can't wait to get this book!!
