We have formulas for periods of a and b: (1) Ta = 2 * pi / wa; (2) Tb = 2 * pi / wb, where wa, wb - angular velocity of a and b. We know that acceleration in circular motion is: g = (wa ^ 2) * Ra and g = (wa ^ 2) * Rb; (3) Let's square (1) and (2) and replace squared angular velocities with help of (3) (wa ^ 2 = g / Ra; wb ^ 2 = g / Rb). We will get: (4) Ta ^ 2 = 4 * (pi ^ 2) / (g / Ra); (5) Tb ^ 2 = 4 * (pi ^ 2) / (g / Rb). If divide (4) by (5) and make reductions we will get: (Ta ^ 2) / (Tb ^ 2) = Ra / Rb.
