Compared to every 10min "Complete/full GOTD guide" that came out same day as the dungeon, this is one of the few that actually feels like a complete guide. Always appreciated these, and have definitely finished solos because of them.
That restoration is insane. I'm a hunter main though I don't trust my jumps on a titan enough to go for a flawless. I'll probably go invis. But man maybe I should start practicing on my titan more 🤔

To plan out the second encounter as long as you don’t step on the alter where the hive are praying you can effectively walk all around it, and in the water zoned area. But as soon as you step on the puddle of water where the hive knight spawns, you start the encounter
A solar build with ember of searing and ember of mercy, which gives you firesprites that grant restoration, is good for solo players along with 'better already' and 'recuperation' adds to Lorelay Splendour. Gunwise, i used 'until its return' (new season rapid shotgun mine has overflow roll so i get 16 rounds a magazine), 'jurassic green' pulse with incandescent, and lastly i used 'Xenophage' to 1-shot the wizards at range and pound the ogres or 'Gjallarhorn' is good for clearing the acolytes and their bloody grenades. Any rocket launcher or wave frame special grenade launcher is worth a shout for clear the acolytes around the lucent hive as being swamped is the main danger for me on the 1st encounter

I have just watched a stream where 3 more than decent players took nearly four hours to complete this. A lot of players play solo out of choice. End game stuff is now outside of the average solo player’s compass. One shots, infinite ads, and “killed by the architects” are starting to turn people off. Congratulations on completing this but it is limited to single figures precent solo.
@@JBinFL what power growth? Most started at the old hard cap. So you grind 400 so by week 10/11. What will we be? 1830? The game needs to be enjoyable and challenging in equal measure. Unless you have a well endowed team of chums at your disposal it isn’t. I’ll still play as usual but if dungeons get too far out of solo capabilities it makes little sense.
Unless you mean blind playthrough 3 more than decent players are not taking that long. My solo was just over 2 hours. Never once one shot/ never once killed by architects
@@iangelling See I disagree with this thinking straight off the bat. The reason end-game content exists, is because there was a lack of challenging content for co-operative team work. There is simply no way to make that kind of content "easier" for solo players. Point in fact, if you can find a way to build craft in a way that makes solo play of at least Dungeon content possible, more power to you. Most solo players who do these seemingly impossible feats, enjoy spending hours upon hours tweaking their builds and strategies to maximise their performance. If that's not something you are willing to do, then yes, Soloing end-game content may not be for you.
Not sure if you are aware. But you can legit just fall down to any of those ledges. Fall Damage is NOW "non-lethal". Also after the first encounter you can use your Sparrow - Instead of running the entire way.
Any ideas or news on what’s causing the soft lock when this method (getting all nodes of the triangle ready before grabbing vestige buffs) is used rather than ready one node and then getting the buff to complete each node one at a time?
We revealed all of our runes before getting our Vestiges of light buffs "simultaneously" without problem (multiple time) How does the soft lock manifest?
@@DavidManser That’s what I was asking. If it had been figured out yet. My team soft locked each and every time we did all runes before getting buffs. The only way it worked for us was to do one at a time.
I have much respect for anyone who has done this whole thing solo. Idk what I'm doing wrong but Ecthar is extremely aggressive when I personally try it. As soon as I dump the third vestige he is UP on the platform clapping me into the wall before I even get to go face the knight to get the shield breaker. I've never seen him chase anyone UP ON the platform before..... like the boss is spawning in and chasing me down BEFORE the Knight even arrives..... he literally stood in one place for u doing nothing lmaoooo and no ads around messing up your DPS smh
Same thing happens to me. He’s usually getting in my face and I’m like “Dude get out of my way, I’m busy!” And once the knight was nowhere to be found that you have to kill before you can break the shield.
I have witnessed the same as you. I can't beat him. In fact, I seldom can even get past his shield. He is always right on top of me, as he is unbelievably quick.

You can do it! Practice, practice, practice. But most importantly, remember that solo dungeons are a marathon (no pun intended) not a sprint. Pace yourself, take your time. I didn’t think I could do them either, but I’m 4 for 7 on dungeons solo flawless. I just need Duality, Spire and now Ghosts. Edit: Math. I’ve done 4 dungeons not 3: ST, Pit, Prophecy, Grasp.
I solo’d most of it. I need better weapons for dps on the boss. But I can def do it. I think I should try the lament for the second boss. Maybe the sleeper for the last one. I don’t have the Xenophage yet or I’d try that. I have a good hunter build so I’m good there. I already got the exotic and catalyst but it would be cool to solo it.

It is amazing how much easier this is with Titan than Warlock. The Hammer throw with heal is amazing. With a Warlock you can use Karsteins Armlets but then you are stuck using a glaive. Be that as it may, this is the worse solo Dungeon I've ever played, and I've beat them all, other than this one, solo.
So far can't complete the first encounter have been as far as the last symbol but the enemy population is too thick and the damn wizard just hides i run out if time
If the recommended build and weapons don’t work, switch to something else and try what works for you. I had to do that myself. I probably died 15-20 times just to get through the first part. The second phase of it, I had to put the controller down because I’d been at it for several hours and dying many times before I was even able to do boss damage. But I know I can get back to it at another time. I promise, dedicate the time to beating this and something inside you will become free and it will feel like a weight has been lifted
The solo experience is absolutely insane. I two manned it, me being a sunbracer warlock spamming solar grenades up top while my friend did the ruins and it took us four damage phases cause he kept suppressing us. Bungie needs to nerf this, no one should ever spend 3 hrs or more doing one activity for a simple title. The final boss solo is almost impossible
Amazing how so much of this is just jumping and falling through essentially nothing. This is one thing I really hate about Destiny 2: every damn environment is built upon a bottomless abyss. It just feels like a lazy, cheap and easy way for Bungie to make the game artificially more difficult, and consequently require more playtime.

Got my solo completion today thanks to your guide . I don't know what it is with taipan but I was able to hit crits whilst getting mauled by thralls .

Early in the season maybe, but it'll be entirely doable with some power growth as the season goes on.

Warlock w Getaway Artist and RiskRunner is pretty nasty here. I still can’t solo this boss tho 😭

That sounds so odd because his behavior is usually very consistent for me, BUT Destiny has it's odd moments for sure.

I am waiting on bungie to reduce hp on the bosses to go for a solo flawless. Even his a regular solo took me 2 hours. It’s nasty.
It can be impossible at times, but this dungeon is pretty decent.
Personally I found it over the top ridiculously difficult as a solo player.
Its really hard with Hunter (solo).
The mobs especially the bosses are freaking bullet sponges. I'm pretty sure they have more HP than some raid bosses.
Including shield, Ecthar has more health than Nezarec. It’s crazy to solo that.
This looks so damn difficult I can just see my teammates leaving me for my lfg😊
I have farmed that first encounter 15 times and still can't get a helmet to drop

It’s a “tank” that you can’t shoot with or anything. You can just drive it around. There are 6 of them in all.

It’s ridiculous that you are basically required to use Arbalest for the boss phases.

I main a Hunter and it was rough but thanks to Thunderlord and being picky on when I used my super I got through it.

Instead of sword use your hammer. It does over 100,000 each hit.
I think that’s if you use the Synthocepts instead of Lorelei Splendor.
They have a shield because they are guardian's that's why you have to crush there ghost
Other Luscent Hive (in or out of the dungeon ) don't have them though?

Aaaaaannnnd Arbalest doesn't one-shot the shield anymore, as of today's hotfix - because of course Bungie made that a priority smh.
It did on the first boss unless I’m crazy as I was breaking the shield with that.
Don’t forget that Bungie changed Destiny so that you can no longer die from fall damage. Drop away guardians.

Bosses are just waaaaaaaay to spongy. It can be done but it’s not “fun” with each cycle the chance of something dumb or broken ruining your run. Pass.
