Awesome video! I'd love to see a video on this expanded on setting the footsteps to trigger different footstep sounds on different materials. Like going from grass to concrete to metal and having the footsteps trigger sounds in relation to what material are being walked on.

Thanks for the tutorial! Quick question, The sound continues to play even after I stop walking/running for another few seconds, any idea on how to fix this?
I did the same for the AI character. Normally it all works. But I want the AI character's footsteps to be heard, moving away, etc. Unfortunately, as soon as I turn on Sound Attenuation, the sounds stop playing, nothing is heard. Also, if I create these sounds via MetaSound, everything works, but turning on Sound Attenuation in the MetaSound settings turns them all off again. It works normally on other actors. Does anyone know what could be wrong? I've searched everywhere and haven't found a working solution. Thank you.
It depends on what you want to focus on. If it's art than go for blender and then learn how to integrate your assets and play with them in unreal. Tbh that's what I made and it's much more fun playing with own assets
hey bro i got a question how do i change the ue mannequin i watched alot of vid and they dont work i got my character from mixamo (no animation just t-pose)
So i have added footstep to a npc in my game i can hear its voice all over the level and i want to only hear it when i am near him so can you help me with it????
Lmao ppl who think of making that type of visual programming doesnt even understanding the concept of blueprints. Its only for fast implementation not for release

I can't choose mono or other types, it's just Wave Player.
