- It's super easy to change your own oil and filter on your bike and in this video I show you how!

The procedure is the same for 2005 and 2006 Kawasaki Ninja 636 ZX-6Rs. I use Motul 10W40 and a Mobil 1 oil filter.
Please perform all work at your own risk. This video is a guide only.
Been building Kawasaki race/track bikes for years - all my Kawi's DO NOT LIKE SYNTHETIC OIL. Only use what is suggested in the service manual or you will fry your engine. Synthetic turns to foam and will no longer stick to high RPM parts. Please take heed - you've been warned!
Ask the service tech at a Kawasaki dealership or research it on the Kawi forums.
How much litre you put in
great video, can you do a video on changing the radiator fluid
I'd like to but I have yet to get around to doing that on this bike.
Thanks Dude!
Nice color
Is it the same for 2006 zx10r??
It's very similar but the way the lower plastics come off is a little different. Not hard.
What fender delete is that ?
Not sure bought it that way
Great video. Do you happen to know the part number on that filter? I can only seem to find OEM and K&N filters online, for my 05 636.
KN 204-1
How much oil did you add
3.6 liters
loving the voice overs. How do you dispose the oil? My local Canadian Tire no longer accepts used oil.
Fire stations around here take old oil. They have a drop-off shed. I have one 5 minutes from my house.
What drill was that?
It's an electric screwdriver I got from Canadian Tire. Super handy.
if you used a central stand, all the oil would leak out and you would have a better view of the water level when topping up. my opinion. but otherwise a nice video😎✌️
I can't get the farring clips to undo. Its stuck no matter how much I try.. one side snapped off with hardly any pressure.
Yes the plastic can get very brittle. All that worked for me was to bend the panels outward almost 90 degrees at the joint and then the clips could detach from each other easier.
