Yes I did switch over. I had issues with the stella drags all the time. Its great when it works bit you never know when it will fail you. Then finding parts for Shimanos in South Africa is a hassle. I have only fished the Saltigas and Certates for two months now and I absolutely live them. The drags are incredible! And they are very solid reels. I have fished shimano’s all my life and it wasn’t an easy decision bit enough is enough now and this far I am really happy that I made the change
@zoolookfishing , do you only have the Daiwa saltiga, or do you have any other more affordable options in the Daiwa range?. I've also only used Shimano my whole life and I feel bad for switching over 😂😂 But im very keen to give it a shot. all the Australian guys seem to love it.
