Table Rock Lake Memorial Dive - Honoring Lives Lost During The Branson Missouri Duck Boat Sinking 4k

I remember the call received from my parent's on that July evening as they observed responding emergency personnel from their home just a couple miles from the incident. The event was profoundly devastating and impacted many. Details of the incident remain available via multiple news outlets.
Over time, we spoke to others within the Branson community about the event and were moved by what we had learned. After discussion, we devised a plan to commission a monument dedicated to the memory of the seventeen who lost their lives on that evening and place it at the location. Of what we've learned over the years as public safety divers, the importance of closure for the friends and family of a victim is paramount. For this reason, we felt compelled to make this contribution on behalf of our team and agency in Tennessee. We wish to honor the emergency service personnel and divers who served graciously on that day as well.
We contacted various entities within the area and advised of our intentions and were met with incredible support. The Missouri Hwy Patrol (Water Patrol) were helpful with logistics and detailed information. The staff / operators of the Branson Bell Showboat granted permission to dive the location and assisted us with coordinating a safe time window. Indian Point Boat Dock / Marina provided a boat which made the dive possible. We would like to thank those aforementioned for their assistance.
