Felt needles will also work on bald spots and useing upholstery thread will keep your stitches last longer
Heads up! Skye's right about superglue but that doesn't mean other tube glues can work! You can use a E6000 style heavy duty flexible glue equivalent instead of hard, crunchy, cyanoacrylate superglue (also under the name brand krazy glue). E6000 is great for absorbent materials like fabric to non-absorbent while superglue is great for non-absorbent to non-absorbent and non flexing applications.
BTW if you accidentally glue your fingers together, acetone/nailpolish remover will soften the glue enough to unstick your fingers and scrape off the glue.
This is very important!
@@ziggythegecko1447 shut up
hey! ty so much! would you recommend E6000 for gluing everything or just some things on a fursuit? like gluing foam to foam or sealing stitches
Fun fact! The hidden stitch is also used in surgery. Called the Simple Continuous pattern, it's often used to suture up the skin incision :) Surgeons also used curved needles! Thought that would be interesting to share lol
Furry surgery.

Another method I've seen for fixing balding fur is needle-felting. It works best if you have access to the backing of the fabric. Use a felting needle to punch fibres of new fur into and through to the other side of the backing. When filled out with new fur, use an adhesive on the backing to hold the new fur fibres in place. Finally trim down to the desired length to match the rest of the fur.
Tip for working with hot glue: wet your finger with cold water to prevent burns and if you touch the hot glue without any cold water on your finger put it in cold water to cool it down! Try to use a low temp glue gun because I used a high temp and got a second degree burn so be very careful with a high temp!
I bought the curved needle last week and omfg their amazing it’s a bit strange at first but it’s worth it ❤️
Sorry boss I can't come to work for a week. I was working on my fursuit and glued my fingers together. Sky never gave me any warning....
Here is a warning: Don't glue your fingers.
@@foox-art Nooo you are ruining my excuse for not going to work XD
ty for making a video where you show basic sewing and repair tecnics
this is really helpfull✨💕
Does this work on Balding People?
If only 😂
You would probably have your ears on top of your head if you did that XD
Lemme just get my sewing kit...
How does this comment say it's 1 day old if the video is only 3 hours old? 🤔

Thank you so much for making this video! Super awesome tutorials as always.
How do you brush the fur without the fur coming out into the brush?
Thank you so much for this video ^^

Skye! If hot glue does seem to be too much and leaves a lil pile how would you get it off? My maker accidentally left a lil on the eye
Thats really cool thank you for the grate video
I wish I could be a patron lol
I love you zule 🥺💕
I have white fur from Howl Fabrics and it sheds and it's bald. It's coarse and not very soft when you shave it. Either leave it unshaved (though it will still shed) or don't get it.
I’ve never personally had any issues with Howls quality, you should contact them and you may be able to get it sorted!
@@SkyehighStudios Another odd thing I noticed is a few bits of black fur in the white. I've removed them since. It's been months since I received the fur from them, do you know if it is still valid to contact them?
May be a little bit late, but it’s up to you, I’ve had nothing but excellent fur quality from them so it’s definitely out of the ordinary
IS THIS YOUR PREVIOUS FURSUIT HEAD MAYBE????
Also first to say first:>
It is old Skye, luckily not Skye 1.0
Awesome
I missed you
The hinges on my suit snapped since they were made by the maker, got hinges from dvc and im really scared to screw up the jaw placement
Now I’m wondering, are you breaking apart old skye for this video on purpose? Poor thing!
What should I do with my loose ear?
What kind of brush do you use?
From everything I’ve seen and researched they use metal slicker brushes, they’re pet brushes. Hope this helps 😄
My dog chew my furrysuit check and eye and the nose Litte bite what should do

My Fursuit is a clown fox
What are the eye is made out of
They’re made out of a special fabric called “Buckram” or eye mesh! There are many videos and guides to eyes on Yt! :>
Hi
Hi skye I'm early >:3
I started to think about furry too much that my brain cant say if i want to be or no ;-;
Hello
I have a question!! Do I line the inside of the body on my suit? Or do I just let the back of the fabric touch me?
it's better to line it , butt i think either way is ok !
i’ve honestly never seen people line it but i’d imagine it’d be uncomfy to not lol. though if you’re wearing under armor or the like under it it should probably feel fine!
