Actually that one is a pretty thick shark, a little to thick to be a mako. That is a porbeagle shark, a mix of a great white and a mako shark, hope this helps! 😊

I used to work in fisheries, attended meetings where pacific island countries come together and discuss fishing regulations and conservation, so I know Australia and New Zealand for sure have stricter laws than other pacific countries. Something like this if you don't have video evidence that it was an accident, fish and wildlife can really penalize you with huge $$$.

So there a farms and laws to keep them safe and there are still millions of cod fish out in the wild.
My smaller boat was nearly boarded the same way by a larger shark. It was terrifying. Thank God the shark didn't land inside or on it. We would have been injured or killed for sure. This happens.
