Who would have thought a Turtles game would need to be censored but the SNES was just so happy to always tone everything done no matter how pointless. Im glad Konami is including both versions in the Cowabunga Collection. Also April looks so cute here in that Konami Anime style but the two arcade games are my favorite Konami April looks, especially her artwork giving you a kiss in the first arcade game.
The American version is quite censored and Aska's victory pose is limited to only standing without the effect of moving her breasts and having more clothing that covers areas visible to the player. the japanese version will always have its charm and amazement with more animations and no censorship in her physique of breasts and clothes : ) great master geek

Although, in the past when my younger brother, Adrian and I used to play this game nonstop, we didn’t know there was a Japanese version of this game. But now, after seeing it from last week, I can now tell the difference. The only female character of this game, Aska reveals more of her sexy body. Or at least her butt cheeks stick out from her combat outfit. Plus, I also found out that Aska was actually in the movie, “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle III: Lost in Time.”
This was not censoring, as the Japanese version Mutant Warriors was released AFTER Tournament Fighters. TF was released in September of 93 in the US. MW was released in December of 93 in Japan. So they actually ADDED the thong and boob jiggle for the JP version. And they improved other things as well, such as a breakable wall in the channel 6 stage, plus the Turtles blimp looks better in the JP version.
This censoring reminds of the recent censoring of Mai in the chinese version of KoF 14. Mai basically gained Sakura's panties/shorts. Funny that it was the exact same case of Aska.
As fun as it was, the censorship was rather stupid because it wasn't that bad. Given how games are now, this level of censorship would have been laughable if done this way in 2022. And also Michaelangelo was my favorite. Hopefully with the Cowabunga Collection coming out soon, they'll leave it in It's original version instead of the censored one.

You can play as Ratking and Karai with a game genie.
Actually there are codes to unlock them as well as their stages.
