Great songs and Colin one of the best guitar players around... talk about serving the song!
What a artist. Been listening to Bonnie Raitt since the beginning, she is awesome. Kasey Chambers, awesome again. Lucinda Williams, yep awesome again. Then happened onto Kathleen Edwards. Thanks so much to all of these artists. There are times you really made my life better.
BR-Angel From Montgomery, Opening Farwell, You
KC-If I were You, Saturated, Am I not Pretty Enough
LW-Right in Time, Passionate Kisses, Six Blocks Away
KE-Change The Sheets, In State, Six O'clock News
Yeah Bonnie Raitt caught my attention w her album Sweet Forgiveness, Jackson Browne’s My Opening Farewell song sung by her was great.
I saw Kathleen Edwards live in 2007 and had a new favorite singer. Have all her early albums. Great voice and a rockin roller for sure.
@buddyskinner1633 If you liked My Opening Farwell, you might like Bonnie singing Angel From Montgomery from the album Streetlights. The entire album Home Plate but especially Run Like A Thief, My First Night Alone Without You. The list is longer than I can write. Lucinda Williams the album Car Wheels On A Gravel Road the song Right in Time will give you a hint. Kathleen Edwards the song Change The Sheets. All of her albums are awesome. Kasey Chambers-any of her albums are great. Listen to Paper Airplane or Saturated or If I Were You or Hollywood. All these songs are on UA-cam.
This woman is so beautiful
So is her beautiful, haunting music.
This performance shows Kathleen and Colin Cripps both at the very top of their musical form. Wonderful songs and great live versions. Thanks for sharing this!!
Like rum and coke or PB&J, musically anyway. They're playing together again in 2022/23!!! Yay!!!
Goodness me, what a talented and modest musician, the lyrics, rhyme, voice and the arrangements from the rest of guys in the band make a perfect blend of lovely music. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful performance.
Kathleen and Jim Bryson, favorite duo
Such stunning honesty. That is what she does.
Copied Keys is such a gorgeous melody 🌷
11 years ago already. Wow.
Such a shame that there are no more live tours
This is why Canada Rocks!!
I love this Band!
love it! great little gem of roots music par excellence
Fantastic version of "Somewhere Else" at 21:50. One of my favorites.
Great lead player and terrific lyrics!
Failure is one of my favorite albums of all time. Kathleen Edwards is such a Canadian Treasure.
The title is “Failer”.
I can't believe it's the YOOL 2022 and I'm just now figuring this band out. How could I have slept on Kathleen? What a great songwriter and performer. I. Am. Dumb.
I am in the same boat, just really discovering Kathleen
@@jacksondog740 You're here now!
Absolutely awesome session
Really, is this really from way back then - still sounds wonderful
And, damn ...
Chills
god i miss her.
Excellent Tune
Wonderful,thank you
Her lead guy is amazing
Collin Crips is a great guitar player, but he’s also a VERY successful producer. Shania Twain among others.
Wow
I cut my teeth on this album only little over a year ago (October 2017). Got em all now and some days I'll listen to them straight through. I've seen on the internet that she isn't too fond of Building 55 album. A few of the songs on there actually very good. Couple songs weren't mixed too well to the point that the music drowned out her voice. Bob Ludwig to the rescue please!!
MAJORKOOL !!!
Kathleen lets you into the song with her vulnerability. She totally exposes herself live, probably why I've seen her so many times.
31:05... "All right, here we go... I'm gonna kick some donkey... Are you ready daddy? Alright..."
[BACK TO ME]
wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
oh hell yes.666 Kathleen Edwards has sold her soul to the devil and rocks!!! my favorite flavor of my life...thank you !!!!
At 38:29 - her eyes are completely in sync with the guitar note. Purely by accident and so cute!
what a tight band
vocals are good....
She is absolutely yummy
Colin Cripps really makes a difference. Gord Tough is a great guitarist, but Cripps just sounds better - at least on the songs he helped arrange.
That lovely slide on the intro to Copied Keys for example. Plus he sing harmonies so compatible with her parts that you barely notice them until you really listen.
I agree theres a certain magic they have together.
35:14 Unknown Legend
chords are good....
DUMP THE DRUMMER STARTS OUT GOOD THEN GETS SLOW AND SLOWER...SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF A BAND!!
