Beutiful slips and knives! Traditionals grow on me more and more as time goes on. I always have one in a slip in the magazine pocket of 5.11 Tacklight Pants, wear them every day. On the belt is a multitool and in the right front pocket is either a modern folder or a fixed blade depending on what is planned for the day.
My wishes are granted the traditionals are back 😂 so cool the combos with slips and the teeners i think the peanut will be to big for me compare to my swiss card blade lol . Nice to see you are bringing the good old stuff back 😊

Love the Autumnal themed colors of all the slips and knives! The burnt sienna color of those bone covered knives really does match with any color slip you pair it with, doesn't it?! So rad! I do believe that a certain Englishwoman might take issue with you describing your Mini Copperlock as "Grandpa Yellow", seeing as how she already coined the term "Grandfather's Sweater" to describe the much maligned Wednesday!! 🤣. Yayyy a (Lil Miss) Appaloosa Peanut sighting!! Those are hands down the prettiest covers that I've ever seen for real! So much depth to them. Love all the gorgeous slips too! I didn't know that the Carrot leather was pre-conditioned like that..and here I am conditioning mine with garlic & onion olive oil grease splatter! LOL @ "It's hot-stuffed, so they impregnate this with beef tallow and wax and oil"... DUDE wtf!!!...the Mom Jokes potential of this sentence are off the freaking chain omg!! The filthy possibilities are literally endless. Some absolutely stunning knives there, thanks for showing us these,, I bought the exact same Case sodbuster junior, and it was terrible,, the fit and finish (and especially blade6grind) was disgraceful,, I was so looking forward to owning it, it ticked all the boxes for me,, so with a heavy heart I returned it to the retailer for a full refund,,. Maybe one day I'll try buying it again, as obviously I got a "lemon",,, On a different note, if you want a great custom knife, made for you, by hand, from the home of knives, (Sheffield England) I can recommend Michael May Knives, I have one called the "Ergonomic" in O1 and bog oak, (He ships all over the world,) Just allow him a couple of months to make your knife by hand,, Very best wishes,, 😍🇬🇧
This may be a stupid question. But when using traditional knives for food prep, how do you use/clean them without fowling up the pivots? I find that on my most used knives, there starts to be a semblance of rust coming from the pivot. I would imagine it's because water gets in there and I cannot effectively dry it out... do you have any tips or tricks, or is it just pare for the course?
I own a few Great Eastern cutlery knives they are nice, however their prices have gone way up in 2024. The #22 magnum so small and expensive and not very popular many available everywhere. Other versions dropping by knife retailers in the $150s to over $200.00 is the norm now so the prices are similar to ebay sellers. I have enough knives already in my collection I may buy a Case knife once in a while if there is something I like otherwise I am fine with what I already have I just cannot afford spending that kind of money anymore on Great Eastern cutlery or any knife over $100.00.
