Stand strong, you Aussies. America needs to anchor on you for a while, until we can reclaim our national soul. This marvelous song expresses the nation I grew up again. Pray we can get back there again. In the meantime, we'll look to the people described in this song.
Rebsarge....preach on my brother...the day is coming!!!
rebsarge ,,yah mate you can hang with us, we will always be there for you USA/AU
We ain't going anywhere mate. No one will ***k with us.
Couldn't be bloody prouder. Wish this was our national anthem, reflects everything myself and all mates are.
Why cant we all start a movement so when we become a republic, make this our national anthem. And move australia day to january 1st. Or institute a Federation Day on Jan1 because thats when all the seperate colonies became ONE couñtry Australia.
@@kerrinorourke5914 it's a little too long to be our national anthem although I agree it would be the best choice. But could you imagine singing this before the footy. It would be halftime before the song is over.
Gratuluję i dziękuję. Jan
Imagine this national treasure singing this Aussie "anthem" at a major sports event like the MCG AFL Grand Final before a crowd of 100,00 roaring fans.....
1994 the Seekers
They did 1994 ,Geelong v West Coast Eagles , tears everywhere
With no disrespect to Andre and his orchestra there is but one person who can give this song it's full credit and that person is Judith Durham and the Seekers
@@patrickmccarthy3123 Definitely the exception!
@@shaneduffy9209Is that Shane that plays for Brighton and ROI or am I completely mistaken.
Dear god it feels so good to hear that. An angels voice, with an Aussie heart. As an Aussie abroad, it was perfect. Thanks
not even an aussie but damn !!! tears in the eyes
I love Maruisa! Love her voice. Everything she sings has me in awe. So thank you. This song is a very reminder that she is Austrailia!
Wspaniały głos Pani Mirusi i piękna pieśń w jej wykonaniu.
This is one my favorite pieces of music. This was not written until a decade or more after my time in the NT of Australia back in the 70s. This is just great for my memories.
I'm Fijian and my opinion is that this nation deserves this song as a the national anthem.
Seems an odd choice for the Fiji national anthem to me but each to his own
@@rajivmurkejee7498 I think you might have misread but I meant your nation (Australia) to deserve the song as the anthem🙂
Vey nice! Voice of Mirusia is just sweetly splendid! Splendid song, splendid Orchestra and of course the great Maestro.

+iamsmiling very much so, in my next life can I come back as an Australian?
+iamsmiling It's not just me? Last time I was there was in 1988. I was there to celebrate the Oz bicentennial.
Glad to be an Aussie 👌🏻
I am an adopted Aussie. I fell in love with Oz, back in the early '70's. Episodes of Skippy, the kangaroo, 1960's TV show. Then, The Paul Hogan Show, 1970's and 1980's. Penpals 1987 visited 1988 (Bicentennial). Deposited money in 1988 in ANZ Bank. Etc....
Listen to the Seekers singing it, you'll be bawling.
Such a beautiful cover of this Judith Durham song. It epitomises what is Australia. 🇦🇺.
We like this song as our National anthem, my heart with my country “Australia”. Proud to be Australian. May God bless Australia.
