Gracias, Loli . En un rato te llamo.

It's not a religious song at all, despite the references to God and the very ample use of hallelujah. Sorry to shatter your vision of the song, but it's classic Leonard Cohen, it's all about one hell of a love affair with a lot of hot sex that all fell apart. I don't think I need to explain what the hallelujahs actually mean in the song's context.
A beautiful and emotive performance but its just as, if not more beautiful to see the love, emotion and togetherness of the audience. The best of humanity and refreshing to watch after such a tough year.

This video has forever touched my heart and my life ❤ On November 5th, 2017 my dad went to Heaven as we were listening to this very song (video), when the song reached it's climax he stopped breathing and the gates of Heaven opened up for him and he was welcomed with an Allelujah!
For some reason I feel compelled to say these things: It's okay to have doubts. There is a creator and He loves you but man has hidden him in outward, meaningless rituals (which is the definition of religion). He just wants a relationship with you and he loves you so much and that's why He showed the depth of His love through allowing his son take our place of condemnation just so that we have a restored relationship which was lost. God is not about do's and don't but He is a father who longs to have you adopted into his family which is characterised by love. The masses of religion, begining with Catholic, Hindus, Muslims etc are all seeking to control the soul of man. The creator just wants to be loved and for you to love him and others as well as achieve a peace of heart, mind and spirit. The reason the song touched you is because you have a human spirit, a soul and a body. It touched you because your heard it using your spirit. If you have questions, feel free to ask me.
@@charlesmtang.7708 You speak beautifully about the Lord's love, and I'll be praying the Holy Spirit touches your heart and shows you the truth about the Catholic Church. That it wants to control people is the biggest lie Satan ever told. What profoundly aches my heart though is that people fall for it. You however, dear brother, will no longer be one of the people he deceives with his filthy words, Amen.
The comedy and happiness is what makes Andre Rieu and the JSO shine so brightly. I rarely laugh out loud but I just can't help myself when I watch their performances, especially when the camera pans to the audience who are doing the same.
I will never have enough of this...this is what music really is!!!! No words could ever express how lucky we are to have Andre Rieu and his orchestra in these times. Hallelujah forever, Glory to God!!!
only if the world can sing this at one given moment, to aim for peace and unity. It would be one big massive live stream from all capitals of the world.
I would like to dedicate this rendering of Hallelujah to all the brave people in the front line fighting this terrible pandemic that is raging across our world. No amount of accolades could repay your bravery at this time, but this small mortal for one praise you all
It's one of my favorite song. The first time I heard that song was from gregorians years ago. Beautiful music, beautiful audiences, and beautiful times that make us forget what is going on in the world.
I always wish they would end with the verse Cohen added later, which takes the song to a much deeper level: "I did my best - it wasn't much. I couldn't feel so I tried to touch. I did my best. I didn't come to fool ya. And even though it all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of Song With nothing on my tongue but hallelujah."
If he ever traveled to Pa. I would love to visit him in concert & sing for him one day. The first time I saw this magnificent man I was drawn to him like a moth to a flame & that doesn't happen very much!!

@@benYMSB Utter rubbish and your comment couldn't be further from the truth. Andre Rieu is a very humble, witty and respectful person and this is evident in every show he has ever done. He interacts with his Orchestra and his Audience like one big family and the joy he and his Orchestra bring to everyone is clearly visable on every face in that crowd. Show some respect please and he is a very gifted musician in his own right!!!!🇬🇧🎻

Agora, eu e o ontem, jesus me falou
Diante do nosso rei Aleluia
Aleluia, Hosana
Aleluia, Jesus
Me mantenha firme no caminho
É a vida que só o amor Aleluia
Aleluia, Hosana
Aleluia, Jesus
O amor nunca basta sofrer
Jesus Cristo ressuscita dos mortos
Eu te agradeço, Papai do Céu
As plantas e as sementes todo dia

CONFINI !!!!!!!!
Such raw emotion in the audience upon hearing this wonderful piece of music. It moves me beyond belief as tomorrow it will be 20 years since my mother died and much longer for my poor father . I love you both .
Hallelujah Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Well I heard there was a secret chord
That David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do ya?
Well it goes like this, the fourth, the fifth
The minor fall and the major lift
The baffled king composing "Hallelujah"
[Chorus]
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
[Verse 2]
Well, your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
And she tied you to her kitchen chair
And she broke your throne and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
[Chorus]
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
[Verse 3]
Well, baby, I've been here before
I've seen this room and I've walked this floor
You know, I used to live alone before I knew ya
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
And love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
[Chorus]
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
[Verse 4]
Well, there was a time when you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show that to me, do ya?
But remember when I moved in you
And the holy dove was moving too
And every breath we drew was Hallelujah
[Chorus]
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
Hallelujah
[Instrumental]
[Verse 5]
Maybe there's a God above
But all I've ever learned from love
Was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya
And it's not a cry that you hear at night
It's not somebody who's seen the light
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
This is the most uplifting arrangement of this work that I've heard!!
Hello Heather...how are you doing today...
@@williamsimon9714: I'm great!
You know the music is majestic if you shed tears and you wanted to hug and kiss your loved one.
The whole audience is in unity. Good luck finding that today.
The joy in the people's faces are a joy to see, we need more music like this and fewer wars
Amazing how the writings of a humble canadian reached so far across the globe. RIP Leonard Cohen

God gave the soprano the voice of his angels.

Leonard Cohen was an amazing poet. May he rest in peace.
THE BEST version of this song I have ever heard 🙇♂️
I have heard this sung by many different people, and to my mind this remains the best rendition of this masterpiece.
This video has forever touched my heart and my life ❤
On November 5th, 2017 my dad went to Heaven as we were listening to this very song (video), when the song reached it's climax he stopped breathing and the gates of Heaven opened up for him and he was welcomed with an Allelujah! Thank you for the beautiful gift of your music, my mother and I dream of attending one of your concerts one day.
**UPDATE**
My mom and I are attending your concert in Chicago on September 16th (2018) I am flying her from Mexico so we can go together and I am hoping with all my heart that we can listen to this song during your concert!! Either way, I am sure this is going to be a concert that both, my mom and I will forever remember! Looking forward to it! See you in a few weeks! Safe travels to you and your entire orchestra and crew!

I am glad your fathers struggle on this earth is over. What a powerful story. I am sure his name is a blessing and that you have many memories to comfort you and your family.
sounds like another made up comment story sorta like how me and Silvia were fucking and when the song reached its climax, so did we. Hallelujah
I am glad your dad is home totally pain free and now will be there waiting for the rest of u to join him... it will only be a short while

Not enough words to describe all the feelings this performance brings to me...
Halleluja in Paradise
Hallelujah
" Tu sabes, meu DEUS, que não Somos de Ferro " Portanto nos Proteja desse Mal Terrível que Caíu sobre Nós de repente. Ainda assim, Seja Feito a Vossa Vontade. Têm sido Grande o nosso Sofrimento, Mas Esquecemos que o Sofrimento do Teu Amado Filho Jesus, Foi bem Maior, ELE Sofreu por Todos Nós, Sem Reclamar Nada , Sem Cobrar Nada de Nós. Simplesmente ELE se DOOU por Todos Nós. Pouquíssimos de Nós Lembramos Disso . AMÉM.
Quando vocês vêm fazer show no Brasil?
This man has been responsible for more joy and spine tingling than can be counted.what a calling.
I have my doubts about religions but this song makes feel blessed, makes me feel to God! Thank to you André.
Ela entendeu tudo é claro hahaha
@@charlesmtang.7708 You speak beautifully about the Lord's love, and I'll be praying the Holy Spirit touches your heart and shows you the truth about the Catholic Church. That it wants to control people is the biggest lie Satan ever told. What profoundly aches my heart though is that people fall for it. You however, dear brother, will no longer be one of the people he deceives with his filthy words, Amen.
Wow this song makes me tear up every time! 😭 Goosebumps all over at the talent on that stage!
The comedy and happiness is what makes Andre Rieu and the JSO shine so brightly. I rarely laugh out loud but I just can't help myself when I watch their performances, especially when the camera pans to the audience who are doing the same.
This is what America should be like!
What a wonderful man to dream this into reality!
God bless you Andre.
amém
I will never have enough of this...this is what music really is!!!! No words could ever express how lucky we are to have Andre Rieu and his orchestra in these times. Hallelujah forever, Glory to God!!!
Just a fantastic performance by Andre Rieu, the wonderful singers and this great orchestra !!

only if the world can sing this at one given moment, to aim for peace and unity. It would be one big massive live stream from all capitals of the world.
I would like to dedicate this rendering of Hallelujah to all the brave people in the front line fighting this terrible pandemic that is raging across our world. No amount of accolades could repay your bravery at this time, but this small mortal for one praise you all
Bless you❤️
God bless
So fitting xxx
Drop the act. They want money not praise from you tube commentators
If people had been brave in the first place, there wouldn't BE a pandemic.
It's one of my favorite song. The first time I heard that song was from gregorians years ago. Beautiful music, beautiful audiences, and beautiful times that make us forget what is going on in the world.
I agree 100 percent with what you said Donij Carmen and Anna just makes a difference to the performance Just brilliant
I am a Christian and it speaks to me of the heart of God for His people.
Mr. Reid, thank you for providing such beautiful and moving music. I hope to attend a future concert. Stay safe!
I always wish they would end with the verse Cohen added later, which takes the song to a much deeper level:
"I did my best - it wasn't much.
I couldn't feel so I tried to touch.
I did my best. I didn't come to fool ya.
And even though it all went wrong
I'll stand before the Lord of Song
With nothing on my tongue but hallelujah."
Why didn't I know about such a great musician before?!? This Is Extraordinary!!!
An angelic song with a beautiful lady playing violin behind Andre....
You're in love...
Alleluia !!!!!!!
Yes!! A song that gives me goose bumps and brings tears to my eyes, and ends with that amazingly lovely lady.....wow.....
If he ever traveled to Pa. I would love to visit him in concert & sing for him one day. The first time I saw this magnificent man I was drawn to him like a moth to a flame & that doesn't happen very much!!
1 Timothy 2:9 "In like manner also, that the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing,"
Muito lindo
Deus abençoe à todos. 🙌🙌👏👏👏
It’s a shame he always has to try steal the show from the more talented musicians and drown them out with his cheap playing and cocky arrogance.
Show some respect please and he is a very gifted musician in his own right!!!!🇬🇧🎻
Maravilhoso 👏
0:57 that is so sweet, the girl is blushing. the audience spontaneous interaction is amazing
The final halelujah flings a massive shiver up my spine. I'm not religious, at all, but if god comes to earth, this is the sound I would expect to come with Him.
Andre has been one of my favorite artists of all time for a long long time. People from all nations react with awe and appreciation for his talent , his music, and his ability to involve the audience.
lol this venue is gay and cringe af. white people crying and dancing. lol!
This is real music that will be heard from generation to generation. The crap out there today that wins grammy awards can't hold a candle to classical music and orchestra music like Andre's.
@@caroldenardo4433 It was written by Leonard Cohen, you daft bint :)
Hallelujah done by Andre Rieu is simply the best I so love this song
I was in a deep sadness and depresión. I had lost a much beloved person in my live. In october 2014 a Saturday I was planchando dresses when a music in the TV called my heart and my attencion. Inmediatly I see the director of classic music so desacartonado so smiling so encantador I began to look who he was. Since then I couldnt stop llistening his music and never have inough of JSO and his smile and his violín and their director
Beautiful version of this classic, and it always brings a tear to my eyes.
