I wont lie. I am afraid, and fascinated with snakes. But this cobra is amazing. His temperment seems chill. He's very used to being handled. Great video!!
I love how he was all like "No, I don't wanna be a UA-cam star!" Then he just gave up and posed for the camera. And when you decided to put him back in the box he was all "No! I'm a UA-cam star! You can't put me in the box!"
Holy crap he's huge!! Had a Vietnam veteran tell me a story just last week about sitting up against a tree in the jungle and had a King Cobra about the size of Scooby come through the bushes right up to him and then sit and watch him and then it slithered off on it way. About five minutes later one of the guys in his unit got a visit from this cobra as well. His friend gave away his position by his momentary freakout. The most venomous snake these boys had ever come across was a Coral snake and a couple of Timber Rattlers growing up in North America.
Scooby is a great looking snake. You are not overly confident but you watch his movement and his reactions to what is going on around. You were not alone. Thank you for bringing educational content safely. Cant wait to see him after he sheds!!!
I loved the way he took him out of the bag. I was going to be sad if he dumped him out. That was such a gentle way to remove that snake he was probably so stressed
You are completely right - some day luck runs out and this is how people get bit, like Tyler Nolan who barely survived his Cobra bite and lost half a finger .... Or Dingo Dinkelman who also got bitten various times. Snake handlers who don´t get bitten (like the guy from Venom Central, he has been handling venomous snakes for 35 years without a bite) apply and promote much more caution and a different approach to handling the dangerous animals. And so they survive unharmed ...

Great educational clip! Appreciate you made the disclaimer that free-handling wasn't something to be proud of or to show off since it's a matter of life or death. Besides, toxicity of the king cobra is much more complicated than previously thought, suggested by a recent proteome analysis covering Malaysian, Thai & Indonesian kings. I have only seen 1 other episode on your channel which was OK but man, watching you trying to get Scooby back in the tub was comical & should not have taken so much effort, judging by someone else's ability to do the same thing. How long have you been working with this kind of snake? I'm sure I'm about to be jumped on by all your fans but this is serious stuff, not just for you but for the snake too. I hope it all works out.
Im not trying to be mean at all i think your a good handler but. I too think u looked way out of ur comfort zone on this one and almost like u didn't know what u were doing. I've watched a lot of others n they just take control of the snake n you seem to let him control what was going on. Im sure ur get better with him. Good luck
Everyone handles there snakes differently, the people who handle these type of snakes the best is because they already have built up enough trust with the snake.
