It’s always such a pleasure to spend time with you, Hannah. You’re a dream 💛✨🙏🏻
Love you to bits Lindsay!
Omg, Lindsay, I adored you on Glee Project and am beyond thrilled to hear about your success since then! 🙌🏼 BOTH of you ladies are incredible!
Love you two! But I also added the 667th like so that there wouldn't be 666.
Lindsay, I saw your work for the first time last night and you brought us through a rollercoaster of emotions with your acting and your beautiful and potent voice. Such an espectacular experience and your technicality is just fantastic. Thanks for doing what you do and the fantastic show ❤️ I'm a fan now.
when i saw her on glee, i thought, “she’d be such a good elphaba”
What role did she play on glee?
@@ddiallo4478 I think her name was Harmony. She was only in 2 episodes. Look up Anything Goes/Anything You Can Do, Glee cast version on UA-cam and you'll see her perform :)
@@falseheteros9102 ok, thanks
@@falseheteros9102 OHHHH, I remember her 😭
I was hoping to see this type of comment 😂
when she says “iveryone” instead of “everyone” and killed it, she looked so shocked and excited. it made me so happy ❤️
Literally the best tip ever
Honestly so encouraging to see a Broadway performer struggle with some of the same things I struggle with in my voice lessons. Sometimes it seems like the pros always sing everything perfectly, which is just not possible because our bodies are our instruments. Some tips in here I will definitely take away!
"Oh God, it's the Gerber Baby"
(In the best possible way. I'm incredibly happy to see her on the channel!)
Hannah is such an amazing vocal coach. You can see on her face how much she recognizes that Hannah’s tips are helping.
Thank you so much Simon!!
really appreciate Lindsay's vulnerability - it takes guts to learn in front of others... also she's fabulous
Ahhh Lindsay is incredible my jaw actually dropped when I saw this! She was incredible in Bare, my favorite Ivy. I’m just- *fangirls in a corner*
YES AHHHHH i love seeing other lindsay!ivy fans 🥺❤️
@ Potato Pancake love the profile pic
Also loved her in bare so much! An amazing ivy!
I can’t believe the biggest names in Broadway do the same exercises as the normal people 😅 I know it makes sense but it seems so strange!
haha yes! No perfect voices here. Exercises are for all voices!
I thought the EXACT SAME THING!! it just seems crazy.
Who else would die to be Friends with Hannah
Don’t die! Hi!! 👋🏻❤️
@@HannahBayles omg!!!! Hiii
i love seeing hannah in a teacher's mode
u should work with Madelaine Petsch!!
Oh I would love it!! If only she would notice me 😭
We need thiiiiiis!!!
That definitely needs to happen
@@HannahBayles you could ask daniel preda for help with that!
Several things that I want to say less than a minute into this video. I have
vocal baggage and I’m thankful that you gave me the vocab to understand that it’s really a thing. Two, the first time I heard Lindsay sing was on the Glee Project! I watched it religiously when it was going on. And lastly, I’m trying to work through some of my vocal fears and performance anxiety and your videos have been helpful. I really just need to bite the bullet and take vocal lessons but as a 23 yr old, who doesn’t sing anywhere but her shower, it doesn’t make fiscal sense.
You can improve without voice lessons! Lots of resources online. First step, awareness! Call out that vocal baggage and unpack whats going on there. Second step, sing for the joy of singing. It's a radical act of self love to sing for no one but yourself. Much love to you!
I would love to see one of these lesson videos with a complete beginner! Like someone who hasn’t taken voice lessons before and you start with them from the ground up. I volunteer as a tribute! Love all your videos! ♥️♥️♥️
I love, LOVE that you talked about vocal baggage and dealing with our own mental blocks and past vocal health issues. Growing up I was always a singer, but my parents never let me take lessons. I started singing more and doing community theatre in high school and my voice was not used to it so I had some extra scratchiness. My mom told me “your voice just doesn’t naturally have stamina.” This stuck with me for YEARS. I was always scared of singing too much, getting nodes, and ruining my voice forever. But now that I’m an adult, I started taking lessons and my voice is just fine and I have great stamina! That being said, I am still working through my fear and letting go of my vocal anxiety. Thanks for talking about this and helping me and others feel seen and validated. ♥️♥️♥️
I am so happy to hear you are singing more! Vocal baggage is real - I mean, singing is so vulnerable! Of course we are going to remember the things that were said to us of even the things we have said to ourselves. Unpack that fear and enjoy the act of singing again! You deserve it!
I came back to this video after listening to lindsay's new audios now that broadway's back and it's so fun to see the improvement after hannah's classes! we can clearly notice that she's following hannah's tips, the "Everyone" note is amazing!
I LOVE just watching Lindsay's eyes light up when she follows your advice and feels/hears the difference it's making 👏🏻
She’s undulating, I’m using that after I finish my choir warmups
I would love to see you react to Ciara Renée in Frozen, or really anything!
Yes!! Or in Hunchback or Big Fish 😍✨
Finally, she deserves to be Elphaba!!! ❤️✨
Been obsessed with Lindsay since the glee project. So cool to see her as elphaba - such a perfect role for her.
Love this video so much! I just did the masterclass with Mariah Rose Faith and Hannah, and Hannah’s feedback is always so on point!
Thanks Brenna!
Telsey + Co when they see this video: _yes, these two right here_
Not me doing the exercises and changes with them and sounding better... 😭😭😭
Good for you!!
O
Vocal baggage is an amazing term! I have sung my entire life. Three choirs plus voice lessons once a week in high school. Musical theater etc. I go to college am in the choir, the director turns out to be a tool. I don’t sing with a choir or anything, except to my animals for ten + years. Quarantine happens. In June I reconnected with my high school voice teacher. I seriously didn’t think I could sing anymore. Then doing scales I’m hitting notes in the coloratura zone. I’m constantly angry that I can’t be back to where i was 15 years ago, and that a g4 exists but I’m getting back in the groove. Very slowly.
You’re KIDDINGGGG. Blowing my mind. So much talent in one zoom call!
Memorize when you do something well not when you do something bad; that’s a great lesson to teach
This was so amazing to watch! Just in awe of the talent between you both.
So amazing! Can’t wait to watch more of your coaching videos!!
Lindsay's two songs in Glee were always my favourites, she absolutely NAILS What's New Buenos Aires
literally got chills at the end. Bravo Lindsay & Hannah!
I’ve seen this on TikTok and now I’m excited to watch the full lesson
Amazing video! Heather has an incredible voice! Thank you for sharing this with us Hannah :)
I'm seeing her on re-opening night and I cannot even begin to express how excited I am to see her live! And just so glad the show (and Broadway) will be back in general!!
I love your positive approach to vocal teaching and I love how you just radiate positivity. I literally could not stop smiling throughout this entire video
Oh my goodnesssss I would love to see more of your lessons!! I can already tell that these larynx and vowel modifications are going to be game changers for my mix 🤩
You are such a great teacher! A lot of the vowel and placement work you teach is going in my bag of tricks when I sing! Brava!
Hannah, you’re amazing! I learned so much by watching your lesson with Lindsay! Thank you so much!!!
This was such an awesome video to see!! Please show us more of your lessons! ❤❤
Loved Lindsay as ivy in bare! It’s so cool seeing her as elphaba now!
This is so cool! Wicked is the best, and it’s awesome to see the subtleties that turn a performance from good to great.
That was so awesome to watch. I have a bunch of vocal baggage from 16 years ago (the last time I had training) and even just seeing you teach and explain things like this helped me to start overcoming those blocks.
I've never really been able to connect to my head voice, and as a bass singer I just thought It was a limit to my voice - either deep bass/chest voice or whispy falsetto. Just seeing your teaching style, how you use tools, techniques and visualisation makes me believe that actually I can do anything with practice. I'm gonna go find my head voice, I feel inspired :) Thank you!

I glad hearing Lindsay Pearce singing she has one of the Best Voices from 2012 i remember When she was in The Glee Projects and then show up in 2 episodes of Glee and may my day a couple of weeks ago that she was the New Elphaba just enjoy heard voice again after so many years greeting from Mexico
I feel like I’m learning so much just by watching this
this is so good! thx for this vid, hannah! 😍😍😍😍
Is so fun watching how focused Hannah gets
Ridiculously cool video! Thanks for all the new ideas to use with my students.
It is so nice seeing the two of your in this video together. Lindsay started at the Junior College I went to after I left so I never got to really know her, but I know exactly what voice teacher and ENT (her husband) she is talking about. They were and are both wonderful people who have helped so many students with issues they have faced. Good people
Love love love. So much talent from you both
Woowwow I loved watching this lesson!!! Just by watching I’ve learned a bunch
Hannah you are seriously a AWESOME voice teacher!
Hannah is just MAGNIFICENT. And Lindsay so willing to do this online and learn while being a Broadway Elphaba - just fabulous.
thank you so much for this Hannah !! ♥
This was so helpful!! Love it x
This was so cute. Every time you gave her a tip and she used it she got so excited
2 icons together omg!!
Lindsay is amazing! I've been a fan ever since she was on Glee years ago. I'd love to see you react to some of her other singing videos.
Been waiting for this one! so excited to watch
When she hit a note that felt so much better after your coaching and she smiled and pointed at you. I know that had to make you feel good rewatching it.
Thank you so much, you helped me mix so much better!
You are such a great teacher
great way to show how music professions still take lessons😁👏🏻
I love your videos! It’s so cool to watch learning in the moment and see your tips help singers right away! I would love to see you work with Renee Rapp!
Your opening comments hit me so hard. I find I can sing fine 'hiding in a group' or alone. As soon as I know someone is listening to /me/ my throat closes up, hands shake, body goes cold. I tried going to a teacher, but found the pressure of the fear of 'letting her down' made me quit after a couple of months. I really want to try to get into singing lessons again but after years of chronic allergies/sore throat...fear trying!
i want a voice lesson from hannah omg
I need a part 2 so soon please 🥰🥰🥰🥰
Yay Lindsay! So proud that a Modesto girl is staring on Broadway!
I’m from the same town as Lindsay...so strangely, I’m pretty sure I know who the teacher she’s referring to as I took lessons from the same person for a while myself.
I always think of The Glee Project when I see her!! Love this ❤️
Whoa that last note :D
I wish you could be my vocal coach!!! Your amazing!!💗💗
I love your work as a vocal coach it’s absolutely exceptional seeing the difference with the notes you give! Can you please react to danna Paola in the Mexican production of wicked shes absolutely amazing!
just saw her on broadway she sang phenomenally and very healthy singing
THIS VIDEO GAVE ME LIFE! I
💚🖤 This is gonna be sooo #WickedAwesome to watch you two work together.
Omg I’d love love love to see you react and work with Andrea Macasaet and Sam Pauly!!
Can't wait
Hannah, I truly enjoyed this, along with your other videos. Your Once Upon A Time reaction had me rolling! I would love to see you in a lesson with a Baritone/Tenor 2 type of voice if you have time. Thanks for what you do! -Frankie
Christy Altomare is so lovely and I think you'd love her!
I love these! I'd love to see you work with a male student :D
You, Hannah. YOU are amazing. (And so is Lindsay, oh gosh.)
omg i love both of you
It would be really fun if you would react to Zoey's extraordinary playlist. It's such a cute show and the songs are super fun and/or heartwarming
Absolutely! it's on my list for sure!
I loved watching this❤️
Please react to Ben Platt singing ‘River’ on The Politician, it’s just such an incredibly emotional and outstanding performance☺️
It’s crazy seeing how hardcore she was on glee and now seeing her talk about not singing for a whole year after losing her voice. Somehow it makes me feel better to know that someone with a near perfect voice has their struggles too, and that I’ll get there eventually😅
Hi, could you please react to some of Naya Rivera's work? Now she's gone, very sadly, it would help shed some light upon just how talented she was. Thanks for reading if you do read this 🙂
Amazing!!!
Yes! I'm so excited! Also you should react to the movie version of the Last Five Years. It has Jeremy Jordan and Anna Kendrick and I think it's really good. Also I love your videos so much!!!
hannah ahhhhh so lovely omg
I hurt my voice four years ago playing the role of Adam/Noah in The Children of Eden. Then I had a nasty fight with bronchitis this year. I've learned so much watching this lesson. Thank you for sharing!
Adam/Noah is a hard role bro. I was Adam/Noah at a Summer Camp. My vocal cords were so tired bro! I rested so much after rehearsals and luckily, I nailed it opening night!
Damn, I love this
By the way, check her performance in glee Anything Goes-Anything You Can Do
19:16 made me smile.
I was doing these exercises too
Glad she’s El
With my incredibly uneducated ears, a lot of this stuff went over my head. But to see you work was really amazing! :)
You should react to Jeremy Jordan and Cheyenne Jackson singing "Who will love me as I am?" from Sideshow! They even go up to the original key!
Hannah is so amazing and supportive when she teaches, but I would still be terrified singing in front of her lol
I love Dyin' Ain't So Bad! A cover from you in the future perhaps? :D
