Thank you so much for these videos. Love the interview with '80's Lady! I don't want them to end, but I know that every good thing does come to an end.
Awww thank you so much - that means so much to us! We don't want them to end either, but the loop is just that - a loop - and eventually we come to our starting point! We thought about going around again, but other things have come up that are exciting, so we will sell the boat for now and perhaps in a few years, YOU NEVER KNOW! :-) Thanks as always for watching!
Hi guys! My wife and I are planning to do the Loop when we retire, and we are really enjoying your videos. We watch them while we eat dinner just about every night! I’ve started cataloguing all of your Tips of the Week for our future reference! Thanks so much for the great videos and safe travels!
Hey there! That's so awesome that you're planning the Loop! We're having the time of our lives and we hope you do too. Thank you for the kind comments and Chris is really glad the Tips seem to be helpful! Keep watching, we have more tips to come! Thanks so much! :-)
OMG - flower pot bread! I used to get that somewhere (??) on a regular basis, and loved it, but haven’t had (or seen) it now for at least 20 years. Yum! Thanks for the great gastronomical memory. 😂 And I am so envious that you saw the Northern Lights - here I am, living in Northern Michigan, in a ‘dark sky’ zone, where geothermal storms appear relatively often…but I still have yet to ever see the phenomenon. One more spectacular memory to add to your long list of Loop adventures!
Hey Kari! The flower pot bread was so unique, I didn't know you could get it anywhere else??? Tell me if you remember where! Oh the Northern Lights were amazing - the shades of blue/purple were out of this world. I saw in a Facebook Looper group that someone just right up the river in Paducah captured them in shades of yellow too! And I am VERY surprised you haven't seen them as of yet! Maybe next summer, you guys go up to the North Channel and Georgian Bay in Canada and anchor out, fingers crossed you see them then!! Take care and thanks as always for watching! :-)
I really enjoy your videos. Nice mix of showing the video of the trip, route and information on what's going on at your stops. Tip on the crappie, but I know it's too late, they've been eaten by now. I dry mine filets off and put them on parchment on a sheet pan and freeze. Then vacuum seal 4 or 5 filets. They're good for a few months
Thanks John for the kind words and the advice! We have NOT tried your method of freezing fish, but boy does that sound really easy!! We will definitely try it when we get back to our home lake! We love to fish, and I even compete every year at a Ladies Fishing Tournament where I'm on a team of four women! We have a blast! Thanks so much for watching! :-)
When we did our river adventure we missed the turn on the Ohio river to the Cumberland so we had to go on down to the Tennessee River and head back upstream. We stopped at GTB, then went thru the canal going the other direction. We stopped at Lake Barkley Lodge. Beautiful place but you have to follow the channel carefully for quite a while. It is fun seeing familiar places from our adventure.
Hi Scott, yes I bet it is fun seeing familiar places! I go back now and watch UA-camrs that have looped and I see the places we just were - love it! And of course I see things I wish we would have done... I guess more ammo to get Chris to take me on another Loop!!! Thanks for watching! :-)
Great to see ya going through my home state of Kentucky! Love your videos. Will you be continuing putting up video's when you cross your wake? Will you be videoing the rendezvous?
Hello and boy you have a BEAUTIFUL state! We thoroughly have enjoyed our time here, and of all places we have visited on the loop, Kentucky is a place we could see ourselves living, or at least spending more time here after the loop! We are already thinking of maybe a month long trip and bringing our fishing boat!!! We will put out a few videos after crossing our wake - probably a recap video, an "advice for future loopers" video, and I'd love to put out a "bloopers" video of all of our failed attempts at the "thank you for watching!" and "tip of the week!"!! I don't think we can video the rendezvous during the events, but I will probably take some video of the gatherings and fun things we do after the business!!! Stay tuned!!! and thanks for watching! :-)
Just bought my first (step up) boat to get ready for the Loop when we retire. Put it on Texoma. Would love to hook up with you guy's someday when you finish and here your stories firsthand out on the lake. We will puit in at Kema as well. Thats why I first started following you. Have fun , Be safe.
Hey there! We'd love to download our stories to you when we get back! Where on Texoma is your boat? Let us know and we can definitely meet up! Thanks for watching! :-)
@@coolbeansloop2024 We should be getting our slip at High Port this week. Just finishing up some boat repairs before taking it to the lake. You guy's look like your having a blast!!
Yay! More Texans!
