We used to have a weekly music get together for the folks in our town and we always kicked it off with “Gold Rush”. He’s gone now but after we went through it a few times our emcee would always say, “A little bit of Gold Rush.” Brings back memories. Most of those guys I played with have passed on now. I wasn’t in these guys’ league on fiddle but our banjo picker did a good job on it.
I think this is the Massengale that a Wayne Gourd mentored in Harrison, AR? I thought he played professionally, as in full time? Can't find anymore vids posted. Thanks for this one at any rate. Sounds great!
