Hi generic stud
You got scamed you need the people who forget mungus 😡

The mainline Chima sets are actually incredible. I love animals so the animal motifs really appealed to me. The show was okay, but the sets are seriously overhated. Chima just had the bad luck of trying to replace the popular theme of Ninjago.
I honestly think Chima had more consistent set quality than Ninjago. The sheer amount of animals trumps the amount of ideas Ninjago tries to repeat.

Agreed
But chima couldn't make a really good tv show like ninjago, ninjago felt more unique compared to chima and connected to kids a lot more. In my opinion Nexo Knights felt a little more unique than chima, but still not the same as ninjago
The sets are really good, but there was a massive disconnect between them and the show. If you only looked at the sets, you'd see figures like the rotting zombie ice hunters, or Winzar who has a bloody scar and go "wow, this theme is WILD, I wonder what the show's like". And then see that the show's way too lighthearted and comedic. Unlike Ninjago which keeps a consistent tone between the show and the sets. Chima's failure to understand why Ninjago's show worked was it's downfall
The Chima sets are good. Say what you want about the show, but the actual toys themselves are pretty well made.
The show was alright
I enjoyed some of the sets
I’d say the actual sets where ok but minifigures and minifigures armor peices pretty good
the show wasnt even that bad either
Maybe, but I really don't like how the minifigs came out. With the helmets their eyes look sunken in and like the characters are tired, and without them their faces look too flat with the amount of detail they try to fit on a single minifig head.
Chima is hated too much
the sets are AMAZING but i think they really get hate because of the show
It's because "it was going to replace ninjago"
Correct my friend
I enjoyed them quite a fair bit back then
@@vikinggamer7727 Lego just hates for their stuff to be popular and sell cause it causes the licensed products to not sell as well lol [My head cannon]
I assume Chima's face printing under the outer head molds was a redundancy. If you lost the face, you at least had something. And even with the outer head on, the different eye expressions are nice.
that's an interesting way to look at it
omg woah it's @NickonPlanetRipple Hi
Bro it’s so weird seeing you replying on a video that hates Chima and hates the set that got you a taste of bionicle.
I don’t really understand why Chima was hated I thought the sets were really cool in design and the wolf monster truck was definitely a great set in my opinion I really like the gimmick of its jaw moving
It's only generic stud that hates chima, everyone else loves it, cause it's amazing
A lot of people hated Chima initially because it was meant to replace Ninjago.
Most of the hate came from lego ninjago fans
Ninjago lovers systemically shit on it knowing chima was supposed to replace it, they couldn’t handle that so they boycotted it and only got ninjago stuff, they evaluated after the 3 seasons of chima and realized the fans loved ninjago more and they made way more off it than chima so they continued ninjago. Makes me genuinely upset knowing that we should’ve had more. They’re talking about continuing it in 2024 though!
I might be tripping but most of these were pretty good. The only things I’d call terrible were the Jack Stone and Ben 10 sets
How bout galidor
The only good thing about the Ben 10 sets were the joints, Hands and armor plates.
fax but galidor 🤮🤢
THE STORMTROPPER!??!??
Chima was literally made to made to replace ninjago.
But failed
@@DynamicsDad thankfully
It was made to compete with Ninjago but failed miserably....
Luckily it failed
I absolutely hate chima.
The "Fire Lion" set was something I quite literally begged my mother for as a child. My face on the day I finally got it...
What will my kids be begging me for?
Skibidi toilet merch
I remember there was once a Chima contest in the Lego Club magazine to win the entire collection of Fire and Ice Chima sets. You were required to build a defense that would protect Mt Cavora from the Ice tribes. Then you were supposed to send in a picture of your build for a chance to win. I spent ages making this massive and elaborate fortress and I was pretty confident that I could win. But I didn’t. Naturally. I was devastated. But then I saw what the winners made and I was like Oh. That’s why. Fond memories though. I was once a massive Chima fan myself but I did not like the last season at all. Thank Lego for Ninjago.
Yea I remember that too. I didn't participate tho and cant remember seeing the winner

That's why I never participate in any contests, I don't wanna get devastated.
I mean, I literally build up myself on 0.001% (if not rigged) victory chances against 10.000 opponents and then earn huge disappointment on grounds of "why didn't I win?"
"Free chees is always in a mousetrap", they say, and I agree.
Save your nerve.
The prize used to be the biggest lego set ever, the record was beat eventually, but it's still up there as one of the biggest one's
YES HES BACK TO CONSISTENT UPLOADS!!!
We missed you Generic!
finally bro! it's been like a year
@@Clenixxbeuh it's only been 3 months
@@LetsGoBuildSomething1 no, i mean ever since he consistently uploaded every 2 weeks
most of these being chima is crazy
it wasnt THAT bad. I liked it as a kid!
@@muellmanni1678 yeah the hate stems from the show and ninjago cause when chima hit the shelves ninjago fans did all they could to stop chima and well the show wasn't that good Ninjago is truly the most toxic community in lego
Chima was actually awesome, both the sets and the show. Maybe not as good as Ninjago, but still awesome.
i agree
Chima was really overhated imo. I really loved Chima growing up, both the sets and the show. It deserved better.
For real bro
Agreed
@@mariangelrivas3290 no one cares
i think most of the hate was from ninjago fans who were judging it without first-hand experience
@@spacebo1._. fr
feels like a fever dream when generic stud uploads more than once a month
Hmm, I wonder how I knew this was gonna happen
Say what you will about Chima in terms of just the show. It’s nothing incredible to ride home about in terms of story and characters arcs, something Ninjago has proven superior in. And I think it’s safe to say that the developers made Chima BEFORE people demanded Ninjago back after the Final Battle, since those same developers worked on Ninjago. But in terms of the sets, specifically a large portion of the vehicles and bases for the tribes, I don’t care what anyone says - a lot of them spectacularly designed. Eris’ Eagle Interceptor, Worriz;s Combat Lair, and especially Crater’s Command Ship are amazing (the ship actually floats in the water). The concept was intriguing, it just left a lot more to be desired to get people interested in it as much as Ninjago.
Ok, major correction: Chima wasn't canceled because it was terrible (its sales weren't spectacular, but they were passable), it was canceled because at the time LEGO planned on having 3-year run "big bang" themes. They didn't expect that Ninjago would take off like it did, and planned Chima as its replacement.
Part of the issue with Constraction figures was that the system was originally designed for Bionicle, and thus catered to that specific "bio-mechanical" aesthetic. Trying to make fully organic characters using that system was just not advisable, but LEGO themselves tried it anyway.
Even for a 4+ theme, Jack Stone was pretty terrible. But I can't entirely blame the designers because the theme was LEGO's first attempt at a half-way point between System and Duplo. Still, 4+ designs had a long way to go before the relatively well-done (for a 4+ theme) Juniors Pirates series.
LEGO Ben 10 was again an abuse of the Constraction system.
Galidor... oh god... Granted, I feel people give this theme too much shit, using it as a scapegoat to claim that their favorite theme didn't contribute to LEGO's near-bankruptcy, when in reality it was the fact that LEGO had too many loss leaders among their various lines, with features that were more expensive to implement than what the set cost. Every set with motor functions or fiber optics was part of the problem, for one thing. But Galidor didn't help, seeing as it introduced a large number of specialized molds on top of the already excessive number LEGO had, all of which cost tens of thousands to make due to tooling costs.
Technic Star Wars figures were just... _why?_
That Storm Trouper needs to do leg day 😬
Brick Legends could you do a custom Great Devourer pls, I'm one of your biggest fans
actually kinda wish i had some of those sets
I personally enjoy the Chima season 3 sets, some of them were nostalgic and pretty colorful
indeed
Nah Chima is absolute peak
Frrr
Indeed
I liked it too
Wrong
Bro, Chima's sets are some of the Best lego sets, they're sick
Chima is great alright ! I used to buy this being younger and loved them. I kept the figures to put them in my city and they look fun 🥰
The sets of Chima are so underrated! There are actually really good
We need a Jack Stone remake!
it offends me that chima is considered the "worst" when it was my childhood and it was the best
I actually really liked those big buildable chima figures, I have like 10 of them
They are pretty neat, my favorite is the Fluminox build able figure
The chima sets are great, I really like the concept of the different tribes with different vehicles
Lego chima was such a missed potential, there were some solid sets here and there but then again I’m glad it flopped so ninjago was able to continue and make amazing sets to this day
I actually miss those Technic Star Wars sets. I always preferred Lego when they went for “how can we work with what we already have” instead of “what new molds can we make for pieces”. That’s also why I prefer the classic Lego Star Wars that is less accurate over the highly detailed minifigs of today
yeh, they look pretty cool
Man i grew up with chima and to this day as an adult i still cannot understand the hate. I loved the buildable figures and have most of them, i remember getting Cragger's Command Ship for my 11th christmas present and it was THE BEST PRESENT EVER. Theres so many sets i missed out on because mom said no, and now im trying to hunt them down again if i could ever find my old favourites.
You just unearthed a deep memory of that buildable stormtrooper that I’d completely buried… thanks😂
to think that the ben 10 sets couldve been the predecessor to lego mixels is a kind of scary thought
Ngl chima had potential and I bet if they were to bring the series back the sets would be way better than before
I remember being so excited when I heard that lego were making Ben 10 sets, and then being really disappointed when I found out that they were only doing buildable figure sets
Yall don’t realize how badly I wish I had an entire room filled with chima universe, or to be in it myself, was genuinely my whole reality as a child
Dude, I LOVE you to death for making a video on chima, thank you so much!!! I actually have 2 Munguses(?) muahahaha. Sad that you couldnt get one. Also, the chima buildable figures are shit and I don't know who likes them anyways.
I think you should try doing the most overpriced and the most underpriced sets
I would love that!
Good idea
There's a compelling story behind every clump of gunk that ends up on a Lego set
Bruh chima was so og
but the sets are mid
@@ClenixxSets were absolute peak
Can you do more EBay videos? They are my favourite of your vids!
When I saw the chima and Jack stone in the thumb nail I heard stage one of the caretaker play in my head. GOD HELP ME
I will admit that the wolf truck from Chima is really good and might be the only set I'm buying
you should look at all the chima sets, some of them are horrible and suck but theres also some really sick sets
A LEGO lover who grew up with Ben 10.
Something tells me we'd get along easily.
THE MAN HIMSELF HAS UPLOADED ONCE MORE!!!
Chima was nostalgic and an overall nice theme but Ninjago is my 2nd most favorite theme of all time right behind marvel
1: Ninjago
2: Chima
3: Nexo Knights
The only thing I'd like to get from the Chima sets are the weapons and armor. Those look unique and pretty cool, actually. Plus, you could make custom Iron Man suits using some of the armors.
Chima was literally my childhood before Star Wars.
Generic stud always posts a banger 🔥🔥🔥
The funny thing about Lego in the early 2000's is for every good financial decision they made, starting Star Wars and Bionicle, they made even WORSE ones, making Jack Stone and Galidor. No wonder it took them so long to claw their way up from bankruptcy.
It's always a good day when Mr Stud uploads.
Surprised I saw no Nexo Knights knowing how fast that series died but at least I saw Chima.
You know it’s bad when Chima was the best thing here
there are no bad sets, only bad designers
"Megafigures don't exist, they can't hurt you"
Jack Stone:
Jack, can you make a video talking about the Ninjago: Dragons Rising show just like you did back in the day with Seabound please? It would be a really popular video.
Glad you are back on the UA-cam grind
Blud really called AOTC the worst Star Wars movie of all time when the sequel trilogy exists.
the fact that lego themselves has tried to kill off ninjago says alot tbh
You should get the new ninjago sets
The technic storm trooper must want some burnt cashews! Because cashews are a storm troopers, favourite food!
I can confidently say that Galidor is the absolute worst Lego theme. It's not even a contest
My entire childhood ruined in 8:25 minutes.
Love your videos keep up the good work
You are the best UA-camr for risking your life (and wallet) for views
And I thought the classic Lego sets were horrible 😂
I have an idea for lego Ben 10. Instead of making them out of bionicle joints they can try to make them minifigure scale by making some of the big and bulky figures just like the big figs like sandy from monkey kid, mungus from chima or even like dog shank and killow from Ninjago.
Bro got a new haircut
Okay, I must have a totally different mindset about those lego series like Chima and Nexo Knights since I never thought they were to replace Ninjago. I always thought (and still do) Ninjago was the best but i still loved the other two and always loved to play with all of them at once. I really don't understand the hate towards them. I've never seen any actual constructive criticism. All it boiled down to was "ew no, it's here to replace ninjago".Like, can't we all just live in peace man
After all these years I have both my season 5 Destiny bounty and Fortrex displayed in my room. (My Chima sets are in the attic though, cuz none of the sets I own really look that good on a shelf 😅)
fr bro. they act like peak cant exist in harmony
0:53 i still am a chima fan i love that show 😭❤️
He’s finally returned
I take this video as a personal insult chima is my favorite theme
Ben ten would have been great if they made NORMAL sets
i actually really enjoyed my fire lion back in the days
chima isnt that bad with a good storyline and innovative sets!
With how the new ones look, you can tell theyve improved A LOT...
I remember loving Chima as a kid!
Definition of bad lego
:Chima
Did anyone else notice that generic stud played one hell of a time as background music
I had both of those bigger Lego sets as a kid then, got destroyed over time or lost.
the ben 10 combinations are literally nightmare fuel
The good thing to with original Lego themes like nexo knights, Ninjago and chima is they come with so many cool pieces that you wouldn't find from a boring Lego city set.
I dunno, the weird Ben 10 Pieces have been pretty creatively used in MOCs. They're not completely terrible, just mostly terrible!
The battle droid technic figure actually looks kinda good.
Non constraction chima sets were actually pretty good, I just never got any of them because I couldn't stand the show.
That Jackstone was looking like the anime type of jay
Chima doesnt deserve the hate i had some of the most fun as a kid with chima sets
He’s returned!
The ben 10 sets make all the Ben 10 fans cry
If not the price and combining instructions, I'd say Ben 10 sets were not that bad after all
@GenericStud where did you get those display shelves I’m trying to find the same ones but can find them anywhere
Generic stud is the definition of quality over quantity.
"They look like monster munch" -dr disrespect v2, generic stud, 2023
You got me proud ✌️ 0:01 (that you have Optimus prime)
Man, those chima sets aren't bad but that set is... Definitely not the same without mungas
Dude the fact you grabbed the chima and then shooting Lloyd with the blaster..?
The only good thing about that stormtrooper is it's set number
Chima haunts my dreams every night
The facts that I own 3 and half of the sets shown here makes me question my taste as a kid
