The first song was "Una furtiva lagrima" from opera Elisir d'amore, them the baryton sang "votre toast" from opera Carmen, and the last one was Brindisi from La Traviata.
Thank you so much for doing/posting these. I could (and often do) spend hours watching these kind of videos and love every moment of them, from the beautiful voices to the unexpected smiles from the passers-by.
the crowd got a spontaneous treat that day. The tenor was bloody good. The "Escamillo" (baritone) was passibly good too. I'm kidding- he was great. The "brindisi" good too- these kids knew what they were doing. The Violetta a bit of a tremolo.
The baritone was indeed spectacular. Generally I am disappointed with Tenors in live performances on stage. In these flash mobs they seem to be far better. I know it is tough to come up to the standard the great one Pavarotti, however there seems to be a lot of talent out there that we don't know about
Instead of doing comparisons among these and other opera singers, why not just simply sit back and enjoy the show. Trust me, it will free your mind of useless clutter in the head!
Opera is pure art and culture
Such great voices! Lucky shoppers!
I pity anyone who didn't have the good sense to stop and watch and listen to these random acts of beauty.
+anFidhlear I agree with you
Agreed. It was beautiful.
Zombies with smartphones…

I cried during this performance!
Me too.
Fantastic and nice to hear full versions of the songs too
We need more of these to happen in in 2024? Where are they?
Just absolutely gorgeous!
Finally we've seen a African American Toreador , che bello~! Bravo~!!!
yup. and he was the best singer of the three--and a delightful performer.
Have a look at Lawrence Brownlee
Wonder where his range begins and ends. Quite a distance I should say.

Shoppers have a front seat at this spectacular yet limit their viewing of it through the minute lens of their smartphones. What a waste.

Oops. I tried. I haven't heard many operas yet.
What opera?
Elixir de amor
- Una furtiva lagrima, l'elisir d'amore, Donizetti
- Votre toast, Carmen, Bizet
- Libiamo, La Traviata, Verdi
Чудесное действие классической музыки. У людей, захваченных врасплох, светлеют лица. Как я завидую им, что не оказался там!
