In 2018, there was a fourth-generation Malaysian Chinese. She came back to look for her ancestors, who were from Zhongshan, but she didn't find them. She came back to play in 19 years. You can try to come back and have a look.

I spent a few days over the lunar new year back a few years in Sanya, we stayed at a Mandarin Oriental resort which was crazy nice, though a bit pricey. I wish we had gone to see the salt flats, looks more interesting than some of the stuff we did. I found it funny that the fisherman was totally not interested in taking you fishing, usually fishermen are looking to get people to join them. Anyhow, nice video, I am always happy when you drop a new video about the China I love.
This Hainan Trip is another interesting one. I love this place, especially the sunny 🌻 video part at the end. Yan, can you do a cost of living video for Hainan and also for Travellers visiting for like 2 Weeks?

Thank you for your very interesting videos. They give a glimpse of everyday life in China outside the big cities, which is exactly what I wanted! The great drone footage adds an extra dimension to the exploration.
Hainan and Taiwan are almost the same size but have a big population difference because Taiwan has flat fertile land to its west while Hainan is mainly Hilly except at its periphery. Hainanese are close to 10 million, while Taiwanese are close to 25 million.
Salt farms are boring, but Yan's drone shots are award-winning. Hope you can stay at Sanya someday and show us around. I look forward to your program every week.

Those area near salt farms, the electronics usually won't last. Metal corrode easily if you are not using stainless steel. It's a pity Yan didn't stay at Sanya. Must be too expensive but u deserve one!

Yan, you may consider a new series with a particular theme. China is famous for a multimillemia civilization, and there are certain places reflecting it, some less known and which might be of interest. In order to grow your channel you need to be more inventive. Even if going to a well known objective, there are always additional info, details, certain ways of presenting and so on, which can be more appealing to a larger audience. To be honest, someone watching exclusively your channel may not get the correct impression about how advanced China has become in certain areas. You may appear a little biased towards rural life, or better say not the most modern rural life.
Really waved by your approach. Your vlogs are always extraordinary as well as unique. Optimistically your channel would grow fast. Best wishes forever...

that is one of the most healthy and beautiful water buffalo i have seen...mostly they are filled with flies and mud.
I am surprise the fisherman said most people will get seasick...the water looks relatively calm
