Really loving the look of the new biofiercers and the revamp of the UCM range Only just had 1 game of 1.5 but I’ve already ordered myself the starter set. Super excited for the launch.
I have a lot of UCM cruisers as it is so with this kit i think i will build them all as heavy cruisers as I don't have many of them as the new look will distinguish them from the older ones.
Could we get a video on list construction In the new edition. Myself and about 6 others at my local club really want to get into the game, but without knowing what we need it's hard to make any pre orders.
Will there be alternate starter sets in the future? I'm interested in getting into the game, and the starter is obviously the best value, but the more I look into it, these factions don't look like they are my top picks. Personally, I think I'm leaning towards shaltari and resistance, but PHR looks good too. Alternate starters would be nice. I'm sure that would make packaging a bit of a nightmare though.
I'm not a huge fan of the bioficier especially so with no broadsides. However i really like the idea of the cells. Please put pictures of the sprues on the website along with the images of the fully built/painted ships.
Do you get more parts if you get individual sprues for cruiser and frigate versus the new core sets ? Can you build like 6 identical frigate or do they have to be different due to parts limitation ?
so some guys at my club and I are interested in starting dropfleet. we've held off for the new edition. UCM is being done already and I really am not interested in the asthetic of bioficers. What do I need to be able to start playing the game? will the other factions boxes have things I need or will I have to go through the hassle of selling the factions in the 2 player box? if I want PHR, what do I need, basically? thanks
Looking great! 😁 I wonder if the Bioficers will be coming to Dropzone Commander in the foreseeable future - feels like they would bring some interesting challenges to the game! (Bioficers do have their own category on the TT Combat Dropzone shop page, but currently only have pre-orders for their dice available. I choose to take this as a positive sign 😅).
The bioficer ships just look too flat and 2D for me. I wish they took up a bit more volume. I know others who really like them though, so I won't complain too much
The flatness makes a huge amount of sense when you remember they're AI driven machines. There's no need for crew quarters, life support, cargo holds, gravity plating, plumbing, med bays or anything else you would need to support life. If you're a computer all your ship really needs is an engine, a gun and a generator
I think a lot of ships in this game have a "random geometry, go!" kind of vibe to them, which is often to their credit. Perhaps, most fittingly, many resistance ships feel that way to me. Most ships have a more uniform design to them, though. PHR ships in particular.
Thanks for adding the close-up shots of the models and sprues!
Big props to Dave and the rest of the team. All the new models look great!

I found Dropfleet some day ago in a webside and i like these ships a lot and will order the box, when it will be available in germany.
I am looking forward to getting my hands on this set.
Very good work Dave!

“Cell will pull out…”
Dave’s really making me miss Dragonball Z Abridged.

TTCombat have shown a render of a Bioficer tank, so yes, they’re coming to Dropzone.
@@brianalice Good to know - thanks! 😄
Yep, this faction will be eventually coming to Dropzone Commander and Striketeam Commander.
I thought this game went the way of the dodo.

I think a better color scheme would help a lot. I don't love the official dark red scheme, and the mediocre camera loves it even less.
