  • Regional Sales Manager Margot Scheltens and Golden State’s Architect Concierge Robby Myer show us a detailed step-by-step assembly and installation of the CS Cavity Sliders Pocket Frame.
    The CS Cavity Slider® pocket door frame is a practical solution for those areas where there is not enough space for a swinging door. Unlike other pocket systems, the CS Cavity Slider™ is structurally robust due to its construction from aluminum extrusions.

    Just ordered a kit for my new addition. Can't wait to have it installed! Looks much better than your standard door kit.

    Since cavity sliders don't provide a door, how about showing how to prepare a solid core door and then attaching that to the frame? Every video skips over that and it would be VERY helpful. thanks!

      would also be nice to see them installing drywall... instructions are great but seeing it done smooths out the learning curve

      @@artdeco5464 agree that would be useful - as would be breaking down an existing drywall to install a cavity door frame.

    Where do I find the trim kit for this unit?, does it need to be special made by a door shop?

      Hi there! Thanks so much for your question. On page 10 of our instructions, we provide a suggested wooden jamb detail to be installed with our frame. Many commercial trim kits are also compatible with the CS Cavity Slider. For recommendations, feel free to give us a call at (888) 466 0030 or email us your door specs at info@cavitysliders.com.

    I am looking to create a more solid pocket wall. So I bought your 4" wall frame kit with the intention of furring it out to 6". I plan to add 3/4 plywood to each side of the 4" frame for extra sturdiness, and then drywall over that. Any advise on how to do this, for example, how to attach the plywood so nothing warps or rattles?

    • @CavitySlidersUSA
      @CavitySlidersUSA  11 місяців тому

      Hi there! In this commercial project, it was furred out with 1/4" drywall on either side: ua-cam.com/video/Vi-SHnnShso/v-deo.htmlsi=ZsRDj5LAwr7nW1K2&t=45

    We just recently got it installed with soft close, but opening the door is so hard, while pulling back, first it gets stuck at activator and then when you pull hard to open, it hits the back stud really hard. so disappointed.

    I might have missed it but do you have to build have to builg on top of a sub foor? I have 5/8" wood flooring that is glued down on top of gypsum

    • @CavitySlidersUSA
      @CavitySlidersUSA  Рік тому +1

      Hi there! Thank you for your question. All of our formulas are based on installing the Cavity Slider on the subfloor. When installed per the instructions, the door will have a 1" clearance to the substrate floor. Our recommended clearance is 1/2" when the floors are installed. To achieve this with an already installed floor, you will need to trim the vertical extrusions of the pocket frame accordingly. If you need help calculating this or have any questions, please feel free to call our customer service team at (888) 466-0030 or email us at info@cavitysliders.com. :)

    This may be a dumb question but I have a mobile home and I am wanting to use sliding doors, would this fit a standard mobile home door frame?

    • @CavitySlidersUSA
      @CavitySlidersUSA  Рік тому

      Not a dumb question at all! The CS Cavity Slider Pocket Frame can be cut down on-site to fit your space. On the first page of our instructions, we provide a formula to calculate your rough opening to prep your home. From here, you can use the Extrusion Cut length formulas, also listed on the front page, to determine the length you should cut your back stud, jambs, track, slats, and fixing blocks.
      Check out our other assembly/installation video for more details on framing your rough opening and preparing your kitset: ua-cam.com/video/O4CBSdCskeg/v-deo.html

    If my rough opening is 99 inches and the CS frame assembled height is about 99 11/16”
    Can I cut the vertical pieces 1 inch and still be good without having to redo the rough opening??
    I bought 2 frames got lucky and one door RO was a 100” the other 99” 😅

      Hi there! Thanks for your comment. Our pocket frame can be cut down to size based on your Door Width and Door Height. Check out the "Sizes" tab on our CS Cavity Slider page here: www.cavitysliders.com/Products/Pocket-Frames/CS-Cavity-Slider-Pocket-Frame to see the lengths you should cut your extrusions, or you can use the formulas on the first page of our installation instructions to calculate this manually. If you have further questions, please call our customer service line at (888) 466 0030 or email us at info@cavitysliders.com, and we will be happy to troubleshoot!

      Hi there! Thanks for your comment. We offer both standard and Sofstop (soft close/soft open) Carriage packs to be paired with the Cavity Slider Pocket Frame. If you are using the CS SofStop, there are minimum door width requirements depending on if you'd like your door to soft open, soft close, or both! Check out the last page of our overview brochure for the list of door widths: www.cavitysliders.com/Portals/7/PDFs/Brochures/2021/CavitySlider-PocketFrame-KitSet.pdf If you have further questions, feel free to call us at 888.466.0030.
