🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋❤ I relate so much to Mammi Dearest when it comes to being bullied and having to be confident again..I've only recently started to care and love myself, especially my body and hearing Mammi's story inspires me and gives me hope that everything will be okay ❤😊
🦋🦋Being a partner that also comments on her boyfriends body i've realised how wrong that is. II often tell my boyfriend to go to the gym, I really love him and all it's just that he's too lean and I always tell him to buy protein shakes and go to the gym but this episode made me see that it is wrong. Shout out to both of y'all ladies. 🐛From a caterpiller girlfriend, to a butterfly one.🦋
The body dismorphia topic is mainly why I watched this episode. I have also had it all my life, and anorexia( I think) as well. I've always wanted to be a certain weight and see myself in a certain way on the mirror and on photos. Recently gained the weight and man, it doesn't feel any different. On the bright side, I am starting to feel more confident with the body that I have now, and wouldn't wanna go back to where I was, although people tell me otherwise. It just heals my inner child that I finally am able to feel confident and go out in public without feeling self conscious .
@@CaiahM It is quite a crazy journey, has its days but after listening to you and Mammi today? I'm definitely ready to fully take it on. Thank you mama❤️
🦋🦋As someone who was bullied by my own family about my body, I found the body dysmorphia chat so comforting yet so triggering. Thank you for having these conversations❤
Have had body dysmorphia for the past 2 years only because I've been losing weight due to academic stress,to the point of a bolt driver telling me I should eat more junk.Although people's comments would get to me,I personally wanted to deal with my own idea of what my body should look like,so I've started a new diet and going to the gym...While also being content with how I look now and dressing the way I like and not to cover myself up in order to avoid comments.Looking at the word of God and just being reminded of what I'm worth,Double confidence I tell you!!😉💯
Thank you so much for this episode and Mpho the way you shared your experience with Body Dysmorphia, really resonated. I think another way it's difficult for us women is because so much value is put in our looks, which leads to men not respecting women that they don't find attractive. So now it's like, if a guy doesn't respect you because of your looks, you have to work 10 times harder to "earn" that respect, that they disregard those looks. However, that respect should've been given. You deserve to be treated with respect and i rebuke having to prove yourself to these rotten men.
Yoh the body dysmorphia chat is so real, and I think it's most especially worse for women because when we were young, we seeked validation from other people alot so if we weren't validated then we started developing low self esteem and that genuinely just grows with you even when you find comfortability in how you look😭😭😭😭
Not me watching this episode first then going back to episode 1. 😂 I love how you guys first catch up about how y'alls week was then divide into the topics, love you both sssm, I feel like y'all are my big sisters. ❤️🩹
A place for femininity and to be able to feel free to have the conversations that sometimes society shies from honestly loving the podcast already ladies ❤️definitely can’t wait for the the many more episodes to come
the planned kids conversation is so real🥲🥲its crazy how the past days i was in my feelings about that whole situation now its mentioned here and also body dysmorphia ayy the sacrifices we make for bashimane🤣 enjoying these conversations btw😍🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋
Hey ladies. I'm really a sucker for youth-led initiatives and this why I'm here! This is a beautiful podcast and just because in one of your episodes you mentioned you were testing what works and what doesn't, I'll share my thoughts. Both hosts a fabulous. It's a beautiful match! The energy is beautiful. Congrats because not many get this one right! I would just wish there could be a bit of movement. Its 2 youthful adults having relatable conversations. Try doing some stuff outside of having a conversation on the couch. We see that enough. Example 🤔 colaborate with a nail tech and have a conversation over that 😊 Just a random example! All the best girls! ❤
Hey 🦋🦋🦋 This is why I don't like salons personally I'm the I know a girl *proceeds to go to her house* type salons are uncomfortable especially when you are low key anti social. Mammie dearest ngiyakujaja oe how could you let them do you so dirty The body dismorphia really hit home .I picked up running because I want to lose weight. I won't lie as much as I say I am doing it for myself ( which I partially am) . I am tired of being the really big girl the gets picked last .Anytime I'm outside of KZN I am reminded that I am not the standard of beauty .I feel invisible, also my crush at the time (when I started running)was into slimmer girls .I wanted him to like me 😅 so aside from wanting change there's all these influencing factor's I am being a little too honest here😂but it's only fair I share since y'all have shared . Sometimes we just be SEEN as pretty or fiwne if not by others then ourselves
@@ThandekaMabaso072 Hey I am sharper , lighter ,weight loss could be quicker but I eat what I like depending on what I ate I know my distance must increase . It's very good for my mental. I have stopped for a bit cos I can't afford the leggings cause my thick thighs ripped them all. So make sure you stock up on those especially if you want to run every week
Both these ladies are amazing I have to say I really loved this episode, this combination was much needed.Mami dearest came in with her experiences while being funny 😅I loved that😊then Caiah always comes through with being very informative and facts that you can relate to and teach you at the same time❤I can tell Caiah is very intentional with being attentive she does it so well that even when someone is interjecting, she will still listen and give your space, ugh I love that❤, I love you❤,and I love yall❤my beautiful butterflies🦋
Recently started listening to this pod. Started with the episode where Thato is in and I started from the beginning. You ladies are doing amazing and please keep up with the consistency
🦋🦋🦋🦋Lovely conversation indeed. Listening to this episode was a truly a reflection on also how I used to please people instead of embracing the body God has graced me with!
I think not a lot of UA-camrs are spreading so much knowledge and genuine love. It's all about growth and loving ourselves so much so that we learn to love others as well. But this right here is another level I love to see it and I love how it makes me feel. Thank you so much ladies till next Monday!❤🦋
The older I get, the more I love how I look. I am super grateful for this new found love on how I look. God did a thing with me 😊🦋🦋🦋 I definitely enjoyed this episode. I highly recommend waxing if your pain threshold is low😂😂
I think I learn new things every Monday but i never been in that situation but I have a lot of Acne but today I've learned something I will try to be confident with it Thank You
Ladies, do not do the IV drip thing. or at least be cautious. When you're constantly putting needles in your veins it can be hard to find your veins in the future for emergency situations. Junkies often have this problem.
5:46 "try doing tax while being sick", listen, i am watching this podcast, my tax notes open and battling a cold. This was the sign i needed to hust close my book and rest😂😂
ive never had under arm hair, and im 22, i find it weird when i see people with under arm hair cz to me its not normal.....apparently im the abnormal one😂 but its genes i guess cz my father is 50 and he has never grown under arm hair
I always tell them I have this amount maybe R300 and if they charge me a high price, I choose to leave and tell the "it's fine, I'll go and check next door" and I'm telling you they always take my price and still give me what I want😁 although they gossip about, it's fine as long as I get what I want😅
Can we use the same mics used for the Rampedi brothers podcast for this podcast? This sound is good too but I think those Mics would make the sound more crisp 🤌🏾
