  • Just added a new feature to my script to enable fast remapping of the drum pads on the Arturia Keylab mkII keyboard. This is a video demonstrating the feature. Update (12/28/2020): Finished adding the ability to save the program mappings to the current FL Studio project. It gets embedded in the mixer track name on the far left with the label "C" (for Current). This is due to FL Studio's restriction on disk access and lack of an API for saving custom parameters.

Is there a way to make the MIDI data less cluttered? When I try do record things like this I get a mess of overlapping notes that are really difficult to work with later. It looks like you get a similar thing in your demo.

How are you friend, I read that you have the Mk2, I have a Roland fantom x8 synthesizer, I do not use the sounds of it because nowadays the software and virtual instruments are very advanced in sound quality, my question is, the Mk2 are resistant to the keys? because they told me that they are plastic, and my fantom x8 the keys are made of another real piano material, the goal is to buy the Mk2, but I must be sure if it is really robust and resistant both the keys and the quality of the materials? I would appreciate your opinion please friend

I have an Mk2 61 key keyboard, and they don't feel like a piano. I don't like the quality of the keys on the 61 either -- feels plastic-y.I have heard the 88 is slightly better because the keys are weighted, but have not used it myself. If you want to buy an Mk2, and you want something that feels closer to a real piano, the 88 key is the one you'll want. But compared to other keyboards, I have no idea. I want to try something from Native Instruments if I decide to upgrade to 88-keys. At the moment, waiting until I improve my composing skills in FL Studio before I make the switch.
Also, I'd recommend visiting a store and trying out a demo keyboard before committing to purchase.

Can you chop samples into the drumpads?

I haven't considered that use case. How are you chopping up samples? I can see if it's possible to build something in for that use case.
