- This was my 12th flight at the end of a very busy 25 day work trip to Europe and Morocco - I was ready to come home! Luckily Qantas delivered the goods in their wonderful new business class seats on the A330 as I flew from Osaka Japan to Sydney Australia.
This Qantas business class flight review covers the Sakura business class lounge at Kansai Airport, boarding, taxi, take off and the great friendly onboard service from the Qantas crew. I also cover the business class menu, the in-flight meals, the amenities kit and the famous Qantas inflight PJs. This business class flight review also covers the new Qantas business class seat on the Airbus A330 which converts into a fully flat bed. I also cover the landing in Sydney and some great footage of the Queen of the Skies - a the graceful Qantas Boeing 747-400 which landed just behind us.

I really enjoy your videos Dennis. They’re factual, but have touches of humour. I think that’s your x-factor. You don’t come across as someone who’s paid by the airline or looking for a trillion views. That makes watching the videos interesting and informative. Keep up the fantastic work.

Those are the swankiest pyjamas yet! Love the ensemble. So on my trip to Australia, Business Class on Finnair for footwear and then Qantas for evening wear...

Qantas should think about starting a flight from Adelaide to Singapore to connect to the London flight once pandemic is over.
Does anyone else whistle along at the beginning? 😂 I’m on the a330200 from AKL to SYD in two weeks and hoping my business seats in row 5 in the middle end up being nice! They look pretty cool on here anyway

As a fellow Australian, everything you said was spot on. Beer ✔️(tick). Australian class: business v economy ✔️(tick). After a time away, getting on a Qantas international feels like going home ✔️(tick). The Hawkesbury River also looked beautiful.
“I instantly become a dickhead”😂 the truth is, if you’re sitting in economy and some guy from business class walks through wearing provided pyjamas, you would think he’s a dickhead.
6:00-6:12 so true. Even as a Qantas Business Class flyer, when I see people wearing their Qantas pyjamas in public, it really pisses me off.

They have like years of expertise when it comes to long-haul flights under their belt, especially with their Kangaroo Route.

A year later it's still 81k. He deserves 10 times that. Best flight reviewer with good video length but already include all the info you need. Some reviewer put 5 minutes of take off and landing in their video.
Hi Dennis! Are you planning to fly with Philippine Airlines anytime soon? If you are, may I suggest you try their tri class A330 or their brand new A350. But make sure you don't book a flight with their old A330 cabin. They use this aircraft mostly on routes to the Middle East, if I'm not mistaken they use their new tri class cabin to Sydney. Anyways nice flight review have a nice day! :D
Just started watching your videos today, gotta say it's good to have an Aussie reviewer for once! I recently flew Singapore Airlines to Bangkok and Qantas home, and found both crews to be professional and friendly yet distinctly different. I honestly cannot pick which one I most prefer. You're absolutely right in saying stepping aboard a Qantas plane feels like coming home!

I wish airlines would offer a 'no-frills' discounted business class where you got the nice lie-flat seat, but no other extras like the lounge access and the free-flowing alcohol.
That won't help much. The "frills" of business class is a very small part of the overall cost.
I'd still be curious to see the price difference. All the included alcohol would be completely wasted on a teetotal like myself.
Yeah, a modern business class seat takes up as much room as 2-3 economy seats, so you will always pay a fortune for that.
But business class seating is usually 4-6x the cost of economy, not 2-3.

Can’t get over how natural yet fun the Quantas cabin staff were. Most other airlines’ staff seem fake compared to them. Also, how practical they were by putting the mattresses on you seat, prior to departure. A great idea. Thanks Dennis for yet another insightful and fun review. Cheers, Colin
I have to say those Finnish slippers coordinate quite well with the Qantas PJs!
Flew on it once (twice of return trip counted separately) not really long haul, SIN to PER, it’s nice. Usually I would fly with SQ but I am happy with the choice

I was kindly given a pair of PJs when I flew from Perth to Brisbane as the lady recognised me from my channel!
Obviously on domestic flights PJs aren’t given out on business class flights but it was like as a “thank you for flying Qantas”
Now I do look like the dickhead when I travel with them when I fly long haul in economy on a different carrier 😂
Qantas catering on late night business class flights seem to be much better than Cathay Pacific. On Cathay Pacific, for late night long haul business class flights, they don't serve proper appetizers and instead serve those awful Grisini bread sticks with savory dips (hummus).

As an Australian Quants is over priced and service and food is not up to standard compared to others in business class in my opinion
You'll find every airline is viewed that way in their home market. The home carrier is always the most expensive. I do like the more personal and relaxed Qantas style these days.
I found the same thing when I flew economy Dennis the minute I stepped beyond that curtain I also became one, and a nob! 😂😂😂

Just flew SQ new business class today on A380 and was very disappointed. Looking forward to your feedback.
- rock hard seats
- awkward sleeping position ( worst than other SQ business products )
- narrow seats no room for arms
- less privacy if passengers are tall
Some good points but would recommend 777/a350 or old a380 products over new a380.
Great video! BTW, so true re the PJ dickhead comment. I also find that they give you the death stare on planes where they only have one boarding entrance and everyone has to walk past business class when they board.
Thanks. How come I didn't know about your videos before? I'll be taking some of your flights in reverse next year, Qantas to Kansai, and JAL from Narita, both in J. I hesitated before booking the JAL flight, wondering if the 789 would be okay, but I watched enough of your video to be certain it would be extra good.
And yes, those beer-pouring machines are awesome. My son and I encountered them in the JAL Haneda lounge in 2015, and immediately switched from champagne to beer!
I'm off to do the Kumano Kodo with my wife and I figure it will be nice to bookend a week tramping up hills and sleeping on tatami with some comfy flights.
I'm disabled and travelling on the A330 to Singapore from Brisbane to Singapore in Business Class I'm just feeling a bit apprehensive about it as the last flight I did was to Perth years ago so when I return Dennis I'll let you know how it went from someone who carn't walk. I think I'll just have about 5 Bundaburg Rum & coke to smoothen things out & watch a movie.

Much better seating the the 2-2-2 I flew Bangkok - Sydney 5 years ago. The food was poor then - and i don't think its improved since - not impressed with the menu at all. Very poor choices for the main meal and no hot breakfast.
Nice airline.
However unfortunately they hardly changed anything since their world famous Southern Cross flight !
But that's not so uncommon in any aspect there downunder.
Who knows, once it will change and they will rise out off the stone age, mental- and lifestyle wise ??
Haven't heard "dickhead" since hearing the NCOs in U.S.Army during basic training 50 years ago....not allowed nowadays.

Actually if roll and bulk order it costs almost the same as buying non stamped toilet paper. If they take large bulk order then the price is actually the same. i once dealt with serviette, left it because I had to sell a lot to make profit. catering services preferred stamped, and they bought 20 thousand or more at a go so it was ok. if at that amount, a packet of 100 pulls cost 20 INR.

Why don’t airlines allow economy passengers purchase a in-flight PJ on a first come first serve bases with limited numbers, I’m sure airlines will make a extra few dollars

Are the PJ's better quality than the old ones? I've got a pair from F on the 380 and they were comfy for the flight (unlike F (but that's another story)) but they disintegrated at the first wash.

I flew too Sydney for Business class too Bangkok the seats are comfortable and food was enjoyable never got cut off for drinking too much great service

Great review mate! Honestly one of your best so far in my opinion :)! I absolutely love Qantas! I only flew them once a couple of weeks ago from Brisbane to Melbourne in economy class and it was a blast! Would love to experience their business class! They are waaay better than Virgin
Bonnie's MoTo-Ranch how are they better than Virgin? You only flew them once and that was domestically? Do you really feel informed enough to form such an opinion?
You may also like to delve further into full aspects of an airline to base your opinion on one domestic fight! There really is a lot more to consider and only after many flights.
