[4K] NASA Boeing 747SP SOFIA at Aerospace Valley Airshow Edwards AFB, Flying, Static & COCKPIT TOUR!

15 and 16 October 2022 was the first airshow at Edwards Air Force Base in 13 years. The true star of the show was NASA's Boeing 747SP N747NA, named "SOFIA" (Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy). She came in from Palmdale NASA Armstrong Flight Research Center for two low passes, showing her unique telescope. Then she landed and taxied into the static display. The next day, we had the privilege to see her up close and personal as the sun rose over the Californian desert. Join us on a tour inside and around this beautiful and unique aircraft, and enjoy every single bit of her, just before she took off again for two super low passes and leaving to Palmdale again. Here she will retire as the funding for the SOFIA program has ended. N747NA will probably end up in a museum, but we are so thankful to have seen her operational. Enjoy this true aviation legend and of course, the JT9D sound!
