At first: I don't think my interpretation is objective. That's the beauty of this character(s) - it's open for own understanding. Pickard is that hard-working dude, Riker is the dude who wants to... "sleep" with everything that moves. Spock is that nerdy guy. But what's Q? Is it an allegory to God? He's god in ST, but what does he represent? I see Q vs humans as allegory to humans vs other animals - even civilization level between Q and us is like between us and, let's say, a beehive or pack of wolves. We tend to think we know what's best for them, for a mere joke we are destroying their homes, killing entire species as an entertainment (passenger pigeon is a most obvious case), sometimes creating new species (interbreeding, artificial selection that wouldn't happen without our interference).
